I need to know .... Is it POSSIBLE to grow say 3 plants in an apartment, WITHOUT any real chance of running fans outside or proper venting, and the smell NOT being detected by neighbors ?

Thanks

I do 1 large plant in my apartment. Defenitly a hassle if only because i have to time inspections. But i can control all the other variables like smell and temperture.

YES YOU CAN , im running 6 in mine and i do not vent outside , its easy to remove the smell, NO you do not have to vent outside , its not needed, in fact i recycle 50% of my exaust back into my VEGG room for temp and humidity control along with CO2 recycling

just hit me up and ill give you all the info you need to do to get the best for an aparment grow with out VENTING OUTSIDE and No Smell!!!

YES, very possible.

I grew in a 1,000 square foot 2 bedroom apartment(main floor) for almost 2 years. I grew 8 plants in veg and another 8 in flower and a third smaller grow room I used for seedlings/clones. I had 2400 watts going 12/12 and 650 watts going 18/6. I used Can brand carbon filters using negative pressure rooms and never had smell issues. Only dangerous time was harvesting outside of grow rooms, just used tons of FeBreeze x2 during. I have always used a dry room with a small Can brand filter and 4" fan to control smell there.

KEY words Carbon Filter/Can brand/Negative Pressure.

My biggest issue was heat and venting. I vented into main room like I do now in my home, and in the hot months it got hot, even with central air going it was tough to maintain a 75 degree apartment temp and a 85 grow room temp. But it worked. I used open hoods so if you use air-cooled hoods or cool tubes that should help. In the winter months if it gets cold where you are mold will be the threat, high RH. All you need it a simple 150-250 dollar dehumidifier and you are good to go.

So if it gets hot where you are you will have a good electric bill for a/c unless you do air-cooled hoods or even invest in a split-duct room a/c, or ice boxes with a chiller ect. But just air-cooling your hoods by exhausting them separately from the rooms will help with temps. If you can vent all or even some of the hot exhaust outside you are ahead of the game. If on a floor other than basement or first, you can easily exhaust right out a window/screen and just seal everything up so you are not losing cold air or bringing hot air in. Camo it, make it look not suspicious.

Main threat will be landlord or maintenance. This is why bedrooms are the safest place for grow rooms. Most bedrooms do not have electric breaker boxes, furnaces, water mains to be worked on so a landlord should never enter a bedroom unless it needed to be painted or something, fix a broken widow, ect.

Basically it can be done and done well.

I have 2 plants in flower now, I live in a basement apt. I exhaust out of my closet through a carbon filter. The other end of the fan has an additional 4" ducting that runs into a bucket of Ona gel and you can't smell a damn thing. Of course the closet is also lined with plastic drop cloth to make it like a green house so no smell escapes.

AMEN BROTHER!!
3 plants.....no sweat.... doing 66 in a NFT PVC grow was intense. One thing to remember is buy the same style of lock they use.
And change it out. Because those maintenance people will just come on in and leave a note. Also I had forced air, so I vented through the filter into the ductin and the apartment / townhouse stayed at about 70-72f.

Yes , its possible , and about the smell , you can control it , if well done !
Most important is the strain to choose , some strains have a very light smell until harvest , that could be well handled , other strains are a bitch .. even if you have a very cotroled envirment you open your grow door andd BAAAAMMM ! it stinks all of your house ..
I once grew one Early Widow from Advanced Seeds .. jesus i was allways afraid to open my growroom door lol .. Anyway , beatifull smell , one of the best i have the pleasure to smell..

You can grow anywhere if you put your time and effort into it. There is some amazing micro grows done here and all across the web.

Just make sure to find a few strains that best fit your situation i.e. lower odor and temp resistant .

I had a two bedroom duplex when first started indoors. I slept in my flowering room. I slept the same schedule as the lights. My alarm was lights on. I don't suggest it. My ex-current girl friend-ol lady..lol is thinking about growing in a closet. I said i would loan her my 150 hps.. she lives in the ghetto and the landlord never comes by so i don't think he would care. However she would be connect to me (if shtf) so that's the deal breaker. I do have good buddy of mine that has a one bedroom duplex that he has blown out.. lol i don't know how he does it, but he is pulling it off.it really depends on the landlord. If your renting from a franchise apartment dont do it. If your paying the owner directly your good if they are cool. If they found out, you got to pay a tax. You might pay a little more to hush hush on the kush.

And ive had a buddy get busted with three 2 footer in a dwc, all because he lived in government housing and his apartment flooded and apartments were putting in flood proof doors. He had a dead bolt on the closet door. He was at work when it happened. He came home at they arrested him.
