Apartment growing facing eviction, need some help please.

So apartment inspections came up today and found 3 seedlings.. I have a full grow room in progress.
Now on the lease it does say they do not allow cultivation of Marijuana. But I was curious if anyone knew a new law or something that would counter this.
If anything ill tell them i'm done, but I would really rather come up with a legal solution if there is one for me to continue growing.

They gave me 3 days to respond to their letter, either stop growing or be evicted in 3 days.

I'm pretty sure that a property owner has the ability to deny certain privileges to tenants, even legal activities. For example, an apartment can tell you that you can't use a grill on your patio, install a dish, etc. They could even have a rule that disallows cultivation of any crop. If it's in your lease, and you signed it, then I'm 99% sure that you don't have any recourse. For your sake, I hope I'm wrong, but for individual property rights, I kinda hope I'm right. If you signed an agreement to lease and not growing is in that contract then your not getting around it. Stop growing or move.

It's the landlords property . You are done. No law to cover your ass. If he says NO , then that's it. You need to buy your own property and then you can make the rules.

If you can prove a medical disability you might have a case.

I just went through an inspection myself. How did they find your plants? Didn't they give you 24 hrs. notice?

The trick to apartment growing is to have a dog. I have 2 medium sized dogs that everyone knows live in my apt. I have never had to worry about the management showing up and coming in without me there. Get a lab. Take her for walks every few hours and your problem is solved

Edit: After you convince them you are no longer growing of course.

Disassemble the grow so you can continue to live there while you search for new housing. Sublease the current apt when youre ready to move. You dont want to be evicted and its bold face in the lease you cannot grow in it. Dont bother trying to pay a lawyer, im pretty sure since you agreed to it an signed it your ability to negotiate is pretty non existent.

Neither the federal nor state fair housing acts will provide any protection, even if you have your red card. It's still illegal on a federal level. That, coupled with multiple other ways to get MMJ mean it's probably not a reasonable accommodation.

They should have given you a heads of at least 48hrs. before the inspection, more than enough time to clean up.

In this thread late but consider replacing door locks every new room u use in rented facilities. your own key. you can always do aurora theater shooter quality security systems as well
