Anyone with the know how on erasing metadata from pictures?

Hola friends, pretty much what the title says, taking pictures with my iphone but wont post because of the whole metadata thing and feds watching this and that, you can say im a lil paranoid, i just want to share my adventures with you all but if worst comes to worst, I wont post :neutral:

I thought you could specify not to save the location, check the device settings. Otherwise there are other ways to erase the EXIF data, using another app either on the phone or on a computer. In Windows if you right click on an image and check its properties, you should find on one of the tabs where the additional data is displayed an option to "Remove Properties and Personal Information" which should purge the EXIF info.

Other imaging programs such as The GIMP should allow for this as well. At the very least open the original image and then use Save As or Export to create a new file, there should be an option to save without the EXIF data. Delete the original.

There is a free program called:

EXIF Eraser

Or use photoshop or another editing program, most allow you to save a file without any personal data.

There is a good app for iPhone called "pixelgarde" that lets you remove metadata or even better, enter new data.
all my pics are taken in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
