I am experienced in using a ebb flow/flood tray method but thinking of switching to the ebb and gro for my next set up. Anyone here that can share experience, pro's and cons of this system? Id love to hear about it before spending the dough. Thanks so much!

A little more info for room set-up help...I have a space that is 9X4 dedicated to plant growth. The ceiling is 6 ft high. was going to go with 3 600's, but now Im considering 2 1000's. Think the ceiling height will be a problem? Room heat?

http://www.thegardendepotinc.com/709.html Cheapest around..let me know if you've seen a better price..thinking of getting one myself when I start my first hydro..
consider making your own before spending $400 on the ON SALE system you linked. This is an actual quote from the ad. ...
"It is a simple system that uses 2 pumps and GRAVITY to flood and drain the planters about 3 or 4 times per day."
You can buy the hardware and construct this yourself. Now you have some extra cash for a LIGHT or a BAG or a shitload of CHEESEBURGERS!
Check out some of the DIY threads if you dont know exactly what you need.
just a thought. cheers

Personally i don't like it. I bought it thinking that my nextgen ballast made by CAP is quality, so this system must be. Big mistake. Flooded my room. Returned it to cap. They won't refund me. They sent me a refurbished one back. I'm keeping it simple and sticking to flood tables...There's too many small variables to go wrong with the system to trust it.

Stick with what you have been using as long as youre getting good results. I have heard of minor issues with ebbngrow systems. Good luck on whatever you decide to do

I use the system and I think it works great, you can get big root masses and you are able to rotate and move the pots (gets me roughly 20% more bud if I rotate, varies strain to strain).

i've had mine for almost 2 years and never had a problem, its know as one of the easiest systems available. 90* of the time problems assocated with flooding is user error, I've done it my self a time or two. it came to me highly recommend and i would recommend it to any one else

i think i am going to try one of these, one question to those with experience, with the rez that comes with the ebb + gro is that only suitable for the 12 pots that come with the set up or would that rez be good for 24 or even up to 48 like the system says it can go up to. Think I wanna really give this a spin it looks good. Also been thinking has anyone ever had probs with buckets tipping if weight of plants is not centered or too heavy, thanks all...

its good for up to 24 many more you'll have a hell of a time with Ph and topping w/ nutes

I run 18 ladies using 35 gallons a week. You could run between 24-30 without having any problems, considering the res is 55 gal. The system tends to fill up slower and slower as you add more plants, but this problem can be solved by lengthening the feeding cycle by 15 minutes.
