Anyone use Peltier Air Conditioner used to cool cabinet?

Has anyone used a Peltier Air Conditioner or Peltier tile in some manner to cool cabinet temperatures?

I know these things are usually used for refrigeration of mini-fridges, coolers, water cooling devices for computers etc., but i'm hoping it can help shave off a few degrees Fahrenheit. They normally chill things in the neighborhood of 45-55F, or so i've read. I only need to get to the neighborhood of 75F.

Cab temps sit around 4-6 degrees above ambient room temp. Right now the weather has been cool, so I've been able to keep my cab temps under 80F but barely.

It's fighting against a 400w HPS in a 48"Wx20"Dx55"H(30.4cubic feet) cabinet with a 177cfm 4" inline fan and two passive 8"x8" darkroom louver intakes.

I have some questions about its capabilities/limits.
Are these things designed to run all day or near 80% of the day?
I don't expect huge temperature changes, but 5F would be great. Is this an unrealistic hope?

Let me know your thoughts/questions or experiences with these devices, even if its not for cooling a cabinet. How have you used it to cool something and tell me about its performance?

I use one for cooling the water.. I have got to say 1 will not do anything to help with temps. you would need a bunch of them to make up for the light heat alone. I use 2 "tiles" attached to probes and heatsinks to cool 20 gallons of water.. the tote is insulated and it only brings the water temp down a few degrees. I would suggest a cheap $100 AC window unit. build a box around the back of it to vent heat away.. You would have to cover one side of the cabinet with tiles for it to work.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking, it would take a lot of them.

I'm trying to keep my wattage low so I didn't want to run an AC unit. I was also looking into one of these http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tatung-TTAC-11.-6-x-31.-5-Air-Cooler/41117338
I think they are essentially just a swamp cooler. I think it's more practical so I can remain stealh. Less noise and energy consumption.

Do you have any experience with one of these air cooler/swamp coolers? Do they help or will I just be adding a bunch of humidity to my grow?

Im very new at this.. so I cant really say, I have used a swamp cooler before and they are a pain because you have to keep putting water in them. Have you thought about just using the air from inside your house? I am pulling air from inside my house into the grow box, then dumping it into the attic.. I just keep my house at 75 all the time to keep the temps inside the box at the right temp.
