Anyone seen a plant grow 2 feet plus in 2 week??

This is just crazy, I planted these 3 all at the same time and the one is just growing like crazy. I starting flowing 2 weeks ago and the big one was 13" while the 2 small ones were like 7". Now the big one is 39"!! and the 2 small ones are about 18"
I am thinking I need to take cuttings quickly on the big one because I could veg for like 2 weeks instead of 5 and still have a 3' plant by harvest. Save me like 3 weeks.
This is ak-48 strain from nirvana and I remember one of the seeds was bigger and had well defined black lines. Did I get really lucky with this one?

Looks like a perfect candidate for super cropping, which could even it out closer to the height of it's siblings. Are they all the same strain?

this is normal procedure for flowering plants. The first couple weeks of flowering is when they go thru the "stretch" phase. It is most likely a hybrid, as most plants are and the sativa genes kicked in for the stretch.

Original Haze and some of its relatives stretch like that until they are at least 6' tall with two small buds at each node, at least a foot apart. There's also a medium sized cola at the top. Even topped multiple times, every one of at least six stalks will stretch just as much. Mother's Finest has a pheno that does this since it's a Haze cross. It's hard if not impossible to manage in most indoor grows.

Yes sir. They will slow, then cease stretching, then focus strictly on flowers fairly soon.

Here is a tip I have found works good to keep my plants stockier. I found that the bigger the variance of temp from "lights on" to "lights off" times......the more the plants stretch.

So a room at 78 light on, and 68 lights off would produce tighter nugs than a room say.....

78 lights on, and 63 or lower room with lights off.

The closer I could keep "night" and "day" temps, the stockier, and tighter spaced the internodes of the stems would be. It made my nugs more budly than flowery if you know what I mean.

If I followed this rule, especially during the "time of the stretch", the plants wouldn't overstretch and get spindly. Nice stocky, strong plants that can support the weight of future buds to come.

As did I. It took me several seconds to see anything but dancers. At which point I started laughing like an insane person and called my wife into the room.

It appears to me to be more of a case of a sativa phenotype than just a "stretchy" phenotype. The leaves of the taller plant are slightly narrower than the shorter plant next to it, and if the person prefers more sativa dominance it could turn out to be the best plant of the group for him.

I've got a Haze cross that's doing that right now in my grow journal. Went from less than 2' tall to well over 6' tall in flower and still going. SUPER stretched nodes. She completely took over my little tent and have had to LST her down constantly to keep the tops at around 6'... PITA.

shit im surprised nobody is asking if u know if its a male or female..???? is it growing buds yet?? males get long and stretched out looking because in order to pollinate the females it has to be taller then all of em

You're possibly correct. I wouldn't necessarily agree just because of the lower quality of the pictures.

Nirvana's AK48 is Ice (f) x Jock Horror (m) so we are looking at 65:35 [I:S]

So yes, a sativa pheno is very possible. But it just looks like a stretchy hybrid to me :mrgreen:

Ice has Afghani, Skunk, Northern Lights and Shiva ancestry.
Jock Horror is NLxSkunkxHaze (I believe).
