The article makes it sound like hermaphroditism with female cannabis plants is not something that used to happen 'back in the day' from bag seed - and that it's a new phenomenon that has only popped up since feminized breeder seeds have hit the market en-mass. Which I don't believe is very factual or accurate and is more of a 'back in the day' opinion...

I personally think the fact that more female seeds/plants are being grown by people is the simple cause of all the emphasis on hermaphroditism. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not like mad scientists suddenly inserted this trait into cannabis genetics - it's been there all along.
