I am going through the mail and I see Richard Lee is the celebrity who is promoting a new organization.

Does anyone know more about this?

------------------

On Wednesday, we launched our Founding Member program to ensure we have the resources we need to legalize marijuana in 2012.
Since then, over 150 people have become Founding Members of the Coalition for Cannabis Policy Reform! This is a great start, and I hope you’ll join us.
All it takes to become a Founding Member is a $25 contribution -- just the cost of two movie tickets. And to recognize your contribution as a Founding Member, we'll place your name on your own personalized virtual brick on our website's Founders Wall.
Contribute $25 or more today -- and become a Founding Member of our new organization!

I know I would like to fart in his general direction I think I could do it, stealthily so he doesn't hear it but so he would get a good whiff and I could take a picture of the face he makes when he smells it.

As much as I like Monty Python, and I have used that line before, I haven't found any information as to if this is a special interest group or a general fund for promoting a second Initiative to be filed in California.

Any Prop 19 folks here that may know?
Is this in the spirit of the new funding rules?

Contributions or gifts to The Coalition for Cannabis Policy Reform (CCPR) are not tax deductible. CCPR may accept unlimited contributions from individuals, businesses, political committees and other organizations. CCPR does not make contributions to or expressly advocate for the election or defeat of candidates for public office. CCPR is a 501(c)4 organization (status pending).

I take it that this is new news.

Still can we connect donations to this with donations to regulate marijuana like wine?

God, now that he lost money on 19 he is looking for the "people" to subsidize their own becoming criminality... AWESOME!!! It has worked for the government and large corporations: we have and continue to subsidize all the BS so many people think is wrong here in this country.

I think that guy is an asshole...same for his underlings that don't know when they have a good thing going and would jump at the oppurtunity to fuck it all up with some BS legislation.

I'm the one that suggested the bricks I think. I made mention at one meeting anyway but what will the donations go for?

There is a vague reference to furthering prop 19.

I've asked for clarification but have received none so far.

What would we be donating to?
