Hello,

I just noticed the black briefcase section. I mainly trade the NQ, but sometimes trade ES.

I'm curious if anyone else trades futures.

Nice, that's where I was first bitten by the bug. Do you trade options on the stocks that are optionable?
I noticed Small caps have been bid up in the first quarter hopefully you banked on it. Maybe some rotation going on in the second quarter.

I traded a couple stock options when I first started out, lost my shirt. I stick to stock patterns now.

One pattern I look for is for the stock to raise 70 % in the after hours/pre market, then goes up 30% in the morning. If you enter short here you have an 85% chance of the stock. dropping 70% through the day.

I trade on statistics.

Those are some remarkable intraday price fluctuations. Would you care to share a name or two?

Hi Rufus

Ill check my files tonight and put up an example or two tonight.

It hasnt been happening much the past year - once every couple of months - and recently once every 3 or 4 months.

Nice! I used to trade those types of moves since the After hour/pre market illiquidity allows for bigger movements.

I traded a bunch of options the past two years. I found futures to be more my speed as I only need to focus on a couple big cap names and VIX.
I'm slowly building on my strategy but its been fun.

Don't go to any trouble, I was perhaps more curious in how often that happened more than the specific names.

I trade options. Might switch to futures or just trade spx down the road. I only trade spy which moves along with spx and es for the most part

Nice, I mainly trade the Nasdaq futures and lately playing getting into oil futures.

I like options too, just haven't trade them in a couple months. Good ol SPX. Those contracts are fun.
If you play those 0dtes in SPX. Those go insane sometimes on the SPX. .40 to $16.00+ especially when it's close to the monthly option expiration.

You see it mainly on an earnings report, jumps after hours then the talking heads take it to the woodshed in the morning.
Not an options trader, i prefer high dividends with growth potential, gas stations like glp and capl, tho lately some banks are getting attractive.

hahah right. I might wait a bit and get my bankroll up before I get into spx options. I was watching the option chain today and they really do move nuts. The only reason I am interested in them is because I heard they have better tax benefits that spy options and cant hit with wash sales
