i quit smoking 6 months ago but now i have Copd from smoking ciggs. after some research i seen a study done with 5000ppl over 20yrs and mj users lung functions actually improved over 20yrs while cigg users get the usual Copd. i read some studies on 50yr cannabis smokers, same outcome a joint a daywill keep the dr away. i stopped smoking my meds with a bad cold for a month and it showed up.

I'm surprised I don't.....fortunately I smoked MJ along with my 30 year cigarette smoking Habit ...at three packs a day for the final 10 years...
The doctors checked me over real careful for cancer from smoking...before they'd consent to my open heart surgery....I figured I was screwed....but everything came back clear....probably due to
to a chronic recreational mj habit for a lot of years too....I think it helped protect my lungs somewhat...

pot smokers have less chances of lung cancer then non smokers

ya i have heard that as well. one thing is clear in studies i have read if you mix ciggs with pot it is bad but cannabis use alone is great. low oxygen levels suck with the COPD disease shit and the chest pains are nasty. my plan is to get back smoking my meds and exercise alot to try and slow it down. we all die one day from one thing or another.

Wait, what?

Cigarettes don't kill you, the chemicals do. People don't usually get lung cancer, they get heart disease. That's completely different than 20 years ago. It's why the attack on smokers started, blame the victim "They're just killing themselves anyway" Everything is bullshit

3 packs a day omg cann that is alot of ciggs in a day. i smoked about a pack a day of taylor mades. most ppl i used to know who smoked natives have died from cancer but not all yet.

mine before I quit (heart attack) in 06 were home rollies with no filter....when they had modified the paper, on the taylor mades ,,to be no burn
is when I started to roll my own tobacco....I was afraid they would use something like asbestos....to keep the paper from burning.... realistically did it matter?....no because that much tobacco will kill you anyways...
you gotta figure at some point big tobacco is gonna be on the hook for smokers....so killing off as many as possible I'm sure has crossed their minds a few times....= less liability....

that is one way to look at it and if u kill all the buyers 20yrs after they start you make alot of money. that is why i dont care to use synthetic ferts or pesticides they kill you

Funny you mention the protective qualities of marihuana. For years everyone around me would gat colds and flus and I was the only one in the house who didn't get sick. It was the only thing I was doing that the other family members weren't.

We quit pot for three months cold turkey no problem at all...

but within a few weeks my asthma returned and I had to go find my inhaler which I had to start using at least once a day until about 3 days after we started smoking again, I don't even know where my inhaler is right now. An old whiplash neck injury also became a daily drag and gout in my big toe appeared, now I don't even think about them.

My husband is like night and day, lowerback surgery 2005... he didn't realize that marihuana was helping him until we quit, within a couple days his back pain was constant, we thought he just tweaked it or something, as soon as we started smoking again, magic, just became a pain only when he earned it from over doing it, manageable.

I think our older cat (17 at the time) also suffered from the absence of pot in our home, he becomes a "lap cat" as soon as we light a joint now, the smoke doesn't seem to bother him.

Did I go too far with the cat cures? I swear...

Together we smoke about 10 grams a day of the good shit, we consider ourselves chronic, and think that prescriptions should not have an abstract time limit of a year, that is another crazy stupid HC thing... I digressssssss...............

I don't care that I have to get a new script - I think the size limit is ridiculous. There was no limits on the amount of morphine that were sending me, other than having to renew the script. I had huge bottles of morphine that lasted me 3 months, plus liquid morphine for breakthrough. I like the idea that if my cat gets sick she'll have some good meds for what ails her. She likes the smell.

I too find the 1 year Rx time frame kind of stupid. Most people using medical marijuana have conditions that are not going to just go away, whether it's epilepsy or MS or spinal cord injuries etc. They will most likely be using this medicine for the rest of their life. The limits are also a problem since the regulations don't allow for oils/edibles/tinctures/hash/creams etc. The high Rx amounts are usually for people that prefer other methods of ingesting/consuming besides smoking/vaping, takes way more product to bake/juice/concentrate etc. Just shows the ignorance of HC.

ya the only ailments that go away are the patients that die for the most part so one would think a script could last at least 3yrs if not more. i know i would rather eat my meds then smoke them and it does take more plants. as long as the patients are using all the plants it should be possible.
