Anyone grow with T5s

I tried the search but nothing comes up when you type in T5. Is anyone using T5's to grow with and how do they like em. I have a 4 bulb, 24 inch T5 High output light with a 50 w HPS for heat....anyway I had talked with a few people and was told T5's would work but they surely wouldn't be anything special. I have 4 small plants that are Danish passion x Guerilla gold and one strawberry cough. I just got the light this week so these were all grown with 6, 45w cfls.

What up? Yeah man I use T5's... T5 HO bulbs at 6500K specifically, don't know if there's much of a diff... they work great my plants are growing an average bout an inch a day or a lil less than an inch. I've got 4 vitaLUME PLUS bulbs 24w making 96w consumption at 7,200 lumens... my Sour Diesel, Alaskan Thunder F**K, Big Bud and Snow Caps are luvin it. nutes... miracle grow once a week watered 3 times a week. I've got them in 2 1/2 ft wide by 12 in deep enclosure with lights 3 inches aboves the canopy. I'll be getting another Sunleaves Pioneer Jr. to supplement the folliage soon so they'll be getting light from top and side and i figures since everything else is reflective backing they should be good

I used cfls on my last plants but it was the flowering time that they didn't cut it. I got 2, 3500's for flowering and one 18,000 that I took out and switched back so I have 2 6000's too. I was gonna go with the redder lights accross the board but what do you think....cuz I was under the impression that come budding time the 3500' or whatever the 3000ish number is on the bulb do you think the power glow which is an 18,000 would be good or stick with what we know works, 6ks for veg and 3ks for flower or a mix of?? I am interested to see some buds done with just a t5

I use four, 2ft T5s. for my vegging cabinet. When they are ready to flower, they get moved into the flowering cabinet under the 600 HPS.

I use a 2' 4 tube T-5 fixture for cloning. It works great but do not think it will be much for flowering. I use the 400 Watt HPS for flowering.

someone on this site did a full T5 grow, with 2 6500k and 2 3000k t5's in a 4 light ballast, they had some decent shit.. i don't rememeber the thread though.. you might be able to find it through a search..

I'm flowering with T5s right now. Hopefully they'll work okay. I'm only a week in now. So far so good.

One of my plants grew an an inch last night and when i woke up the plant was all up in the bulbs.. it wasn't even burnt though. i love how little heat these things put out.

I'm growing 3 of these under a sunleaves pioneer iv light. It has four t5's. I did all my vegging under the t5, then when i went to 12/12 i added a 150watt hps to the closet. Eventually i want a higher watt hps but i have to use what i have now.

nice, great to know, I added a 50w HPS but have 2 , 6500 and 2 3000s and even one 18,000k that is a power-glo t5 that I was using previously but took out for flowering. One of my plants looks really good but I didn't want to do all this for nothing so thanks. I may grab another t5 for a side light but right now I have the 50w HPS there. Thanks for all the replies!

here are some pics after a 4-6 day run after getting the t5's They were maintained up to this point by cfls, the 45w, 6500k ones mainly with two smaller ones made for growing and flowering....but they didn't work for shit, as you can see one is a bush but that was from over vegging and clipping cuz I wasn't sure when the buds were gonna start growing, I tossed the other plants regretfully, but thanks to everyone for the help. I run a mushroom forum geared towards noobs and this is like the grass equivalent, just a great place with a lot of helpful people, I am greatful for the help.

I mainly just wanted to make sure I didn't waste my money getting t5's, I have a power issue with blowing fuses so I needed to keep the wattage down as low as possible til we get a breaker installed next week...anyway, thanks again...
