i was lookin into this section to ask bout satori. was curious about the high(been answered alredy god i love online forums). also curious about the height. sounding like it gets to big for my grow box but i have 5 feet of height total sutract 6 inches for aeroponic grow medium nd then there is the light 9 inches add 9 more for spacing. so that leaves only 3 ft of grow space. i wont veg will go 12/12 from seed.
all that having been said, is satori too tall for me?
i think it is,going by how fast u all said it grows but i suffer from insomnia nd rls.

I'm not only out of the growing game i'm homeless, sigh.

That sucks! I may be facing the same situation at the end of july myself. I have my satori planted in faith that I won't have to move. I just became a cabbie to pay the bills. Thank god i don't have to buy weed. :eyesmoke:

I only have 52" from floor to ceiling to work with. Just flower them while they're a bit shorter, or lst, or both. Mine seemed to have a quick doubling in height when I start flowering, but nothing too difficult to work with. Good luck.

I'm on my 3rd Satori grow. First two were from seeds the last one are clones from the 2nd grow. It is my favorite weed to smoke - very up high but not jittery, lasts a long time. I've gotten several phenos - the indica pheno finishes in about 9 weeks, the sativa pheno in 10 - 11 weeks. On my second grow I had one plant that produced an un-godly amount of weed - the cola was 15" and about 4" in diameter - and it still had a bunch of lower branches that produced as well - that's the one I cloned. I don't know about taste - it all tastes like smoke to me. You will not be disappointed with Mandala Satori - I will always have it in my garden.

Forgot to add that I also used BMO FP and a little high P guano during flowering.

I really want to try another "name brand" sativa to compare to my satori. I can't remember the last time I had any bud that I enjoyed this much. I'd like to know if it's this strain specifically, or just any good sativa in general.

I've harvested a few more smaller buds, and will be harvesting the rest as soon as I have some room in my drying box.

Have your plants got "that" smell yet? I think mine were about 3-4 weeks old when it started. The stems of all my satoris get a very pungent, skunky kind of odor that just won't seem to wash off my hands. The plants themselves don't smell particularly strong, until you start to handle them.

Have you grown many other sativas?
I haven't noticed smell, but maybe thats because I have a white widow x mystery sativa that stinks like horse sweat....in a good way, if that's possible. I've grown a bunch of sativas, but no "name" ones, unless you want to count lumbo cold in like '81. Lots of mexi bagseed and some durban crosses.

i'll finish later, i gotta pick up a fare

You should be able to do it no problem. :eyesmoke: training pot plants is easy and fun. There are plenty of places in this and other forums about it. I'm doing a little sog of clones right now and I miss working with the bigger plants. It might be a great scrog plant too.

What kind of lights are you going to run?

I concur with HC on the satori comments. I am still in the grow and haven't tasted it yet, but it a strong plants with HUGE fan leaves. Smells a bit like limes. Planted 9 and ended up with 5 fem's and not a single hermie. Mandala seeds have done their homework with this one.

I smoked a little more that I cut almost a week after the first sample. The high seems to have changed noticeably. It's no longer quite as speedy, but it's still almost all a head high. Much more mellow now, but not couch locked. Still very little munchies effect. Not quite as energetic as before, but still pretty good. Shared some with a friend yesterday, and he absolutely loved the taste.

I harvested the rest of the plant monday night @ 68 days. I think I may have slightly preferred the earlier harvested bud, but I still haven't smoked enough to form a good opinion yet. Either way though, it's still some excellent smoke.

I'm guessing the total yield was a little under an oz, but I blame my piss poor lighting and ventilation situation for that. I think once I get my 400w hps going my yields will improve quite a bit.

I found my Satori (like all the Mandala strains I've run) to be a relatively light feeder. Keeping with their recommendation of .8 EC max worked good.

250w HPS. maybe 4 cfls in combo not sure yet. if i do grow the satori i would have zero veg time go right to 12/12 and prey they dont get bigger than 3 1/2 ft. decided to go with an ebb & flow. growing white dwarf auto now. only have 2 aand 1 is staarting to hermie. if the hermie pollenate the other i will use those seeds and run a fast auto grow and will wait on the satori.
would like to know where i could get the indica pheno satori from, bet that wouldbe shorter.
thx guysss

Okay, I planted my seeds of Satori on March 20th and I was showing flower around June 2oth, so about 90 days to flower stage, outdoors with 8+ hours of direct sunlight.

Satori is good, clear headed and a bit happy weed but nothing WOW! I have 4 different phenos but all seem to be missing something. It's like the high is incomplete but I cannot pinpoint what exactly is missing. But still good stuff for people who like the clear head high ;)

Yes, if you want a body lock.... Satori is not for you. I consider Sativas to be "breakfast" weed anyways....
