An article i found verry intresting... It is from Maximumyeild USA version Volume 10 #4... You can get the full pdf and other issues here...

Maximum Yield - USA

Very nice free mag that i picked up at my local grow shop...

One of the most intresting parts (to me any way) was the "Compost tea in hydroponics" section where it talks about using compost extracts or worm castings in the nut solution... It goes on to state that if you add organic nuts to the solution and aerate (dwc) that basically you are making compost tea... Using those micro organisms to help feed the pland and benifit it in several ways...

I bileave that this could make up for the "Loss of taste" that most complain about in a hydro grow compared to soil... Among other benifits...

It also recommends flushing the solution but only for the reasons of keeping pumps and filters from clogging on dead organisms...

This leads me to be interested in a non-flush dwc system... I have read hints about it on here and will try digging in to that later but if you have any pointers or links on non flush dwc growing that would be great too... I think keeping this system of living organisms in the cycle for as long as possible would be optimal...

Ideas... Comments... Flames...??

Enjoy the article... =]

Thanks for the post.

Wow, that makes sense. If I wasn't an indoor stealth cabinet guy in an apartment complex....I would definitely give it a go!

Any thoughts from some more experienced hands out there?

Well if you already have a bubbler system going with organic nuts its as simple as adding worm castings to the mix... =]
