I'm in. I'll plant some when the time comes. Hungararian blues or the pink/black fluffy pom poms from the dept store haha. I may start them indoors in vermicast soil blocks......buut when?

I had summer poppies last year. It made great tea and a bit of opium. I may try a more scientific extract rather than going out and scoring the pods. I had read about mixing water, vinegar, and everclear in a pot on low with temps staying under 180 or so. But if I'm supposed to evap vinegar and water then I may say fuck it and have some table top decorations.

Ehh just stick to crack and heroin. The poor mans speedball. Turns that 5 - 10 sec mainline rush into 5 minutes. Puts you in that near death state where you may... fall out a chair.. lose breaths... then you blow chunks like a crazy person... very violently. Fucking insane man.

don't mean to take anything away from your project but if you're in the usa you are not going to find the right kinds of poppies for harvesting opium in a dept store. they're great for decoration outdoors that require very little care. they are usually very hardy. used to grow them for decorations in the yard as a kid. it's literally as easy and throwing them in a soiled area. we never even watered ours once, the rain was enough. of coarse since they were not taken care of they were not the most vigorous growing plants.

Some grocery and dept stores locally have blue Hungarian poppies and the black flowers are also opium producers. These stores ttypically have the opiums and ornamental chinese ones next to each other. America is pretty nice haha
