anyone ever try coco in there ebb&gro buckets?? My plan was to veg in 5" pots of coco then transplant to the E&G filling in with hydroton, to help filter the coco so it doesn't reach the pump/ res, ect. anyone have any input on this crazy idea.kiss-ass:hump:

You could get it to work, Once upon a time I had a lady that was in a 4inch basket with coco, I threw her with the basket into the hyrdoton, It made a mess the first couple fillings but after everything settled in, it worked out. I think most people avoid it since there are different options, some easier, for the same price, if not cheaper.

Not worth having the mess IMO, coco can clog lines and pumps.

This would be my worry too.

I had a ten pot home-made Ebb and Gro type system which was difficult enough without the added complexity of coco. I used hydroton and would suggest you do the same. Or better yet...just do Hempy's.
