Carpool. A few of us coming from sd, ie and think a few la cats! Would love to meet, medicate, and swap some genetics maybe!:joint: and of course chow down!

i would have to agree with the guys saying we needs something more close to home for the socal guys. nothing against you boys north of LA, but thats a bit of a drive for some of us that have daily obligations at the home and with the family. im in SD as well and would love to have something happen out here. i mean shit, we have a beautiful island that has fire pits (for the foreseen future) and can BBQ our lives away! just a thought....

The thing you need is a point person. Are you willing to spot the location and secure it?

I got married in SD and had a BBQ and firepit party the day/night before. I wish I could remember the name of the place. On the water, though... on the bay maybe? Anyhoo, a place like that could be good. I think as long as you tell parks and rec that it's just a BBQ gathering of friends it should be cool. You tell them that we're all gonna be puffing and they'll hassle us before we get there. :)

Ah... Also why I figured an open arena would be best. I dunno about you, but I'm still of the mindset of "no new friends". Not in the literal sense, but in the sense that you step into this game, you write a whole new book of boundaries. And rule one through ten is the same, DO NOT INVITE PEOPLE TO YOUR HOME. Maybe I'm a bit jaded, but safer than sorry.

While I am hoping to make new friends through this site, I have to get to know a person before I invite them to my home. Whether I am growing or not.

My wife says the place was Mission Beach we had the wedding party at. Hey, if someone in SD is willing to do the planning I will donate money to the BBQ cause, drive down and bring some herb. I am just not in a position to take point on something like this.

I live in sd, but new here. What they are doing up north is on a private campsite that is a big party place and cool w/prop 215. That's what you would need. private property is what u need. Public property will have the man there harrassing us 4 sure.

Possibly, but all they can do is tell people to not smoke in public. Provided everyone is a valid med patient, that is. I agree that private property is best, but I don't know anyone who has park-like land to use. And how many people are we really talking about? 10? 20? I think if we're all cool and responsible and remember to keep it low we could be OK. However I know it depends on local PD, and I don't know what SD police are like. I get down there a lot, but I don't live there.

The other option is to try and meet up at a convention like the cup or kush expo. Either way it would be nice to meet some of you all and smoke a few bowls.

Even a meet up for beers at a local venue would be a good place for us locals to start. I'm wih Mith, it takes me. Long time and many many conversations before I would ever even possibly consider inviting someone to my home. As far as private property, that would be the ideal situation but still a bit unlikely for the time being. I'm always willing to meet up with some locals, shake some hands, discuss our passion, and trade "stuff" hahaha
