dentists have the highest suicide rate of any profession.

perhaps we should mount a campaign warning pre med that should they fail at doctoring, dentistry is not a good fallback position.

miners and textile workers get high incidences of lung disorders. We should caution all people never to consider those trades.

any homeless person can tell you that embarking on a life of work and aquisition will only lead to misery on the streets and under bridges.

why is it that those who fail at a particular endeavor point at themselves while claiming that you should never begin what they began because you will fail as they have failed?

a steroid abuser exhibits himself as the inevitable consequence of your actions because HE stacked twelve anabolics, two amphetamines and a diuretic for 15 years.

we have an odd habit of believing that the failures of a particular action are the experts. In reality, those who use speed or opiates or whathave you are never the ones consulted.

I have three friends who drank themselves to death. Why on earth would I have gone to any of them for advice in how to manage my alcohol consumption?

mightn't I be better off going to an eighty year old scotch lover?
