Coho...I don't think there are (m)any 1%ers on RIU LOL.
Seriously I looked at them and said the same thing you did. What I've read id that they are great for veg, but as of the articles I read all dated 2011 they lacked flower power :) If I wanted to go into debt or likely have buyer's remorse I could do it, but I have too much fun with what I have. May just add a 3rd 600w set up and call it done :)

yea I have`t even begon to look in to LEDs yet, and they seems expensive enough if you want quality but both the heat and power use sounds great, still just wonder if they can match my 600W HPS in flowering ?

The LED'ers will argue with you all day long, but I don't see them outdoing the HPS. They can argue heat and electricity all day long, but I'll argue penetration and results. I've never used LED so I can only attest to what I've seen (a lot) on YouTube. Let the flaming begin LOL
See what you did Slip :)

Oh I exclusively use Miracle-Gro all the way thru...If I did hydro I'd prolly sprinkle some in there, too LMAO
I'd say we've pretty much hijacked this thread.....

Bigger the hijack, bigger the chance of someone running a Plasma grow noticing the thread and dropping some pics/info off :leaf:

yea me to, dont even want to think about how long time I have to run my 600W HPS to use that in power, 5 years maybe so if I get it its is paid of in 10 !!!!

might aswell just buy smoke then :D

Yes I've seen those....but all the specs on that site compare it to a 600 w MH. It goes on to say that it can be used in conjunction with a light for flowering...still guess they expect folks to use HPS for flower. So I see the Gavita 300 for sale for $1312....less at Humbolt if they sell to the public.
I could afford that, but I think I'll wait until either a bigger light comes along AND this one drops 50%. A 500 watter is on the horizon, but it'll prolly be too expensive and again, it's primary focus is veg, although there is far less spectral shift with plasma...from what I've read.

Grow and buy better smoke when you have to. Hmmmm 5 oz of good smoke or a Gavita 300??? LOL

Hey Dank

I'm looking for a good plasma to test but maybe a full spectrum LED. Is the way to go, any thoughts?
