Any Ideas

Well I just wish that it didn't have to be so greedy though, but money and power builds greed, I have opted to get my plants back and cut my losseos, start searching for a more compassionate grower, and choose some more medical strains..(Afghan Bull rider and Harlequin) thanks for your coments

I live in Kentucky, which isn't a medical marijuana state, and I was reading this thread and found this subject quite interesting. I'm not familiar with the medical marijuana laws and how being a caregiver actually even works. Does anyone care to elaborate on the subject a little more? IMO it sounds like this guy is in it completely for the money which is fine I guess. It doesn't sound like what he is doing is legal though. I would think that you could get a better deal than that if you looked around some more. If I was you, I would grow it myself. The best part about growing it yourself is the fact that you get to experience the life of the plant and then reap the rewards from it. That is the best part about growing it yourself. You get a sense of self satisfaction knowing that you grew the shit. At least that is how I feel.

the "friend" is not a caregiver he is definitely a "CARETAKER" It's like going to the grocery store, if you do the shopping you always get what you want to eat. grow your own and you always get what you like and you can't really complain about the grower!!!

Myself and my wife both have our medical cards, we opted to have a friend grow our plants, so we gave 24 plants to our grower, the grower has been doing great, 20 pound pots ideal growing conditions, there averaging 15 to 20 pounds per 2-3 months, i know the overhead for the grower is 10 grand per cycle, I still have to pay 225-300 per ounce is this a fair tradeoff, i think i should be able to get some cash for my plants just for overages, i was thinking 6 grand per three months for 24 does this sound unreasonable any ideas welcomed...
20 pounds is 320 ounces @ a cost of $10,000 to produce breaks down to $31.25 a ounce ....hes charging you how much???

even if he only produced 15 pounds... thats only a cost of $41.66 a ounce

To charge $100 a oz is enough...thats over double your money.....time for people to wake up and smell the weed

we do State legal warehouse grows in denver for a few stores....20 lights on 24/7 only cost us about $2000 a month.... we average a pound a light

I agree, but I know people that's paying $100 per 1/4 on a regular basis. If people keep agreeing to pay that then don't expect the prices to go down.

Sounds like the OP has a caregiver getting rich off his patients... and whoever else he is offing 20 lbs to... 20 lbs every 3 months is way more than a caregiver for 5 people should be yielding isn't it? Way more then one should need...

Prices depend on the grower not the market.
Less the argument of someone being stupid for not charging going rates.

Just like the cost of the grow lowers and evens out over time so should the cost of the meds.
We get better and more efficient and we produce more using the same or less..

My patients pick up more then a lot of patients I know because I share the savings.
In my case less actually ends up being more..

Its only costing the caregiver $31 a oz to produce the 20 pounds... $42 to produce 15....

hes charging the patient... $200-300 a oz for his privlige of growing legally...thats BS in my book

I think you guys are way out of line to say this guy is dealing with a crook, a drug dealer, and a liar. WTF.
Dude to get what you want you need to do it yourself. This guy doesn't owe you extra because he did a good job. His expenses and his harvest aren't your business. It's your business if you make it your business.
Can I just tell you one thing. The dude may be a crook, but on the flip side, it may not be as easy as you think.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN brother.

I agree something is wrong with that. as a caregiver with max patients including yourself, you can only have fifteen ounces at any time.

I call BS on growing 20 lbs every 2-3 months. No way, no how. The math doesn't add up any way you do it. This guy either has 100 big ass plants flowering all the time in a warehouse, or this is a misunderstanding on some level somewhere. It would be a FULL time job for at least 3 people to keep that grow up and running, let along hundreds and hundreds of hours per run to trim, dry and cure.

It makes no sense. You're either dealing with a cartel, or there is something seriously wrong here.

The very name of the OP is white elephant.....as in a joke. I smell a troll.

OK, fair enough, experience produces results. What I would ask is how long does he veg them for, and how many weeks of flowering? It seems awfully hard to pull that off with 6-12 total growing weeks, dosnt' it? It just seems a little unrealistic to me. Call me crazy.....it would be a lot nicer than what buddy calls me :).

Well I will give bowlfull and AC/DC the benefit of doubt. I think what they are trying to say is that there is no way in fuck the white elephant is going to stop at the ol hydro shop, set up some shit and have those kind of results, not any time soon anyway. that and
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll.
