Any Ideas

Myself and my wife both have our medical cards, we opted to have a friend grow our plants, so we gave 24 plants to our grower, the grower has been doing great, 20 pound pots ideal growing conditions, there averaging 15 to 20 pounds per 2-3 months, i know the overhead for the grower is 10 grand per cycle, I still have to pay 225-300 per ounce is this a fair tradeoff, i think i should be able to get some cash for my plants just for overages, i was thinking 6 grand per three months for 24 does this sound unreasonable any ideas welcomed...

You are being lied to about the costs.

I am a caregiver of 3 and have myself and my wife and we do not run 10 grand in 6 months.

Thats kind of jumping to conclusions without knowing the whole story. The grower could be running 24k watt setup with a monster under every light for all we know, a 20 lb cycle is pretty substantial. Many disagreements/arguments in this industry could be avoided if everyone remembered setups and costs vary greatly between a few tents in the basement and a blown out warehouse.

a) You're not dealing with a caregiver, you're dealing with a drug dealer

b) I wouldn't associate myself in any way with someone growing on that scale unless I liked the thought of being in prison

c) You need to find better "friends", because you're being ripped off

Who's going to run a $10,000 3 month set up and only make a couple of grand back transferring to patients ?

20 lbs at 2500 works out to 50,000 every three months in meds.
Why wouldn't the patient reap some of that 160,000 a year, and not be one of the people contributing to it ?
With out those 24 plants there is no +$40,000 every three months..

Regardless, the caregiver is illegal at every harvest. 2 patients = 5 oz of usable meds.

No shit! I don't think I'll drop 10 grand in the next 2 years with electricity, nutes, beans, etc .... let alone every cycle!

I've got some ocean-front property for sale if this cat believes that.

Any agreements you made with your caregiver is between you and him/her. Whatever they pull off other peoples plants than yours is not your concern. At that weight... hello johnny law!

Based on principle alone, if I'm pulling 20 pounds off your 24 plants, I'd at least buy you a christmas basket, or holiday card.

Dude,
You're getting ripped off by a DRUG DEALER, not a caregiver as was previously mentioned. I run a 6K grow with A/C, Dehum., fans, the complete package, and have just barely $1000 into each grow. You're being fed a line of BS! My advice is to find a caregiver thats in it for the compassion, not to make a living.

I get an ounce every month from my caregiver and if I need more the most I've ever paid was $150 an oz. If I go back for a third the price goes down some more.
My butter is always free and so is hash if he has any.. I am welcome to look at my plants any time I want and even pick my own strains..

I think you guys are way out of line to say this guy is dealing with a crook, a drug dealer, and a liar. WTF.
Dude to get what you want you need to do it yourself. This guy doesn't owe you extra because he did a good job. His expenses and his harvest aren't your business. It's your business if you make it your business.
Can I just tell you one thing. The dude may be a crook, but on the flip side, it may not be as easy as you think.

i run 8k in my flower room and with all my expenses for a grow from clone (2 month veg 2 month flower) to harvest is around 7600 dollars and overall each LB that is produced is only 475 dollars! so think about it

I hope they do, maybe more people will start to grow for theirselves.

300 is a little high if hes getting that much out of a grow he should give you something once in a while. at least cut you a break on price. You would be better off growing 24 for your self.
