No.. Its not.. It has much much more salt than a normal kelp meal.. And iv looked it up, its not made of kelp.. The scientific name is on the lable.. The reason im worried is the salt... That's the only reason im worried ..im not doing anything that will hurt my microbal habitats... I thought if i put it in a new compost pile and let it be in there for a year or so it might be ok.. But even then i dont like thw idea.. It doesnt have the same level of nutes as kelp.. Idk how many trace mins it has either...Mix it in your soil or steep it in water. Why are you worried? I would assume one of the seaweeds if not more are kelp. Fairly sure the salt content is about on par with others as well.
Maybe possibly im incorrect about the Na level of kelp meal... I had asked a fellow grower in here about it and he had said ir had way more salt than his kelp meal.. Im looking up my maxicrop meal mineral content and it says it has like 4.1 or something... I need to figure it out.. You can actually smell the salt in the seaweed meal and not my kelp meal... Idk though... Maybe i have some decent shit here..i will be honesty.. Before i checked the levels of it i put it on as a top dress and in a tea on a few plants when i got it and they straightend out and looked awesome.. But then i got worried about the salt... Ill ask around or do some research and see if im missing something..No.. Its not.. It has much much more salt than a normal kelp meal.. And iv looked it up, its not made of kelp.. Well i lookes up a Ga of kelp meal.. And it had a sodium % of like 4.1 something!... I posted a new thread about it to maybe draw some attention to it... Idk if its the same as the NaCl or what.. Im looking up what i can on it... My maxicrop doesn't have a na ir nacl % on it... But maybe i can get some good answers on the whole Na vs NaCl vs just sodium.. Im not exactly sure about it..Most kelp wont show salt content as it isnt feed grade but seaweed will have higher amounts of salt I believe.
