Hey all,
I have this super lemon haze that had started giving me some problems.
1000w scrog shared with an lsd plant, Fox farm with coir, guano amended with feedings of age old organics AND cal- mag. Leaves are crispy? The light is 35inches above.
Any20140801_092757.jpg help would be GREAT!20140801_092855.jpg 20140801_092509-1.jpg

Dajum.... why did you let it get that bad before posting? :(

"Heatstress" is a bit of an understatement for those pics.

Based on those dark green leaves and some lower leaves have burned tips you're over-fertilizing as well, give it only water a couple of times, will make it easier for the plant to transpire and deal with the heat.

35" by itself is doable for a 1k watter, do you have very low humidity as well?

Sativied,
I just noticed last week that something was up,then had to leave for 4 days. When I got home I found it got much worse!
And yes I have very low humidity in my space.I kinda forgot about the guano being mixed into the soil, so makes sense when I feed it's a little too much ..
I have 2 4x4 scrog setups one had a 400w and one a1000w.I now have the 400 over damaged plant.
See what happens ...

geebus, those girls look torched!. Ya got enough air cooling your light? I can run 1kw as close at 24 inches with glass and good air cooling.

Why are your leaves so green?.. looks overfed to me.

Think about using silica for your next 1kw grow,

Good luck

Ya, no cooling ductwork.I have a.c. ducked into the room. This is the first new strain with the 1000w, lesson learned, some strains are more sensitive!
I did pick up ducting and 2 booster fans today, fortunately I can duct in one side of the room and out the other. Curious to see the temp difference after ...

Also, what's the best way to utilize silica?
I personally like General hydroponics Armor Si. 1/2 strength, mainly because its so alkaline.
or use it as a PH adjuster.

However there are other ways. (untested by me tho')

-You could could make a aquaeous solution.
-Or use silica sand

Back in the day when I used to run 400's I would get lightburn around 4-6 inches,
With silica supplementation, running 1kw HPS, I start to see light bleaching & stress around 12-18 inches. Im starting to get a few too many growth points, so around 24 inches is where it seems to be the best.

I'm not saying its going to solve your problems, but it does what it says it does. I run my setups around 50WPSF, kinda high, I know.. but I like it like that.
