Is there any weed nerds who grow organically downriver? I am trying to meet new people who like to grow nice clean medicine. I have been growing for years and within the last 2 years switched to organics growing and i am very happy.

I'm not downriver( actually in the opposite direction, just north of the D) but my setup is completely organic and clean.
As for the haters we can only assume that the dynamics of building a completely natural and organic soil, composting that soil and using it in place of unnatural chemicals is far beyond their capabilities of growing.

Here is some of the info on why he is hated here.

Btw I am an organic grower in Southern MI and know plenty of others. The reason I won't grow anymore of his strains is because every single one of his strains I have run with the exception of querkle had hermie tendencies. As a grower of 13 years I have never had this happen with another breeder, sure maybe 1 or 2 strains but I have grown 6 or 7 of his strains and every one except the querkle had this problem which means at least at one point he was using a strain to breed with that had these tendencies. Also his phenos are all over the place or at least were 3 yrs ago when I was growing his gear and I don't think one of strains was particularity exceptional over any other breeders I have dealt with.

I by no means am a hater of TGA Genetics, as I hold many of the finest ever offered. I'm just no fan of SubCool and his business practices per my own personal experience ...

My suggestions to want to be weed nerds, pick up a clone from a known and tested phenotype. These type of poly hybrid beans offered by TGA will through only a couple keeper phenos, a bunch of mediocre plants and some crazy garbage out of a couple dozen seeds. Way to many fools buy a TGA 5-pack or two and simply run the females they acquire thinking they'll get exactly what SubCool posts as the strain description ...

So if organic is clean, is inorganic dirty?Kinda funny feeding a plant actual shit is considered clean but feeding a plant the exact elements its needs is considered dirty....

First of all, you don't "compost soil". You add either thermophilic compost or vermicompost to a peat/coir/etc base to build a soil.

Secondly, get off of your high horse. There are many different ways to grow this plant, organic being but one of them.

Slight correction..... you don't have to use shit when building an organic soil (unless you consider worm castings "shit"). :-)

What is funny is the fact that many buy into this crap and all due too hype and drama , Sub actually likes it as it boosts his sales according to him . I do not hate anyone as life is too short for a emotion so heavy , but I do dislike his antics and ego along with the whole notion of TGA being superior while knowing damn well how the genetic disposition of most of it is and where it really came from in the first place . Good example would be idiots calling Black Cherry Soda his , wtf ? Dioxide got it from the guy who originally held it and passed it forward while remaining unanimous . I can give many more examples of stupidity within the nerd circle but I wont as followers will always be lost no matter what they do when the leader is lost too .

I have seen how much of a rat the guy can be and I also know of some of his worst moves made in this game , o well the genetics speak alone for themselves and they are nothing but random crosses of others findings nine out of ten times . If I see another strain made with Space dude I might puke . Even Vic high was a joke and his stupidity shined well in the end too .

There are plenty of us that he has not pissed off. So be on your way.
I am not pissed off in any way and I wont be going anywhere anytime soon , welcome to RIU ! You ll find that Sub was here and not too much now as usually he cant stay anywhere long due to his drama and ego .. I used to mod at GreenPassion and he is the reason the site is garbage now just an fyi for those following .

Go stow , as you know the whole notion of growing indoor organic is funny when one uses synthetic light . Organic is such a broad term misused by many in the first place .

You summed it up accurately, but a true weed nerd relishes the pheno hunt and expects crap phenos and male plants. A true weed nerd wouldn't want to grow a clone from a known and tested phenotype, with the exception of elite clone only genetics. I consider myself to be a weed nerd and I live to pop expensive poly hybrid seeds and savor throwing away 90% of the resulting progeny. If you aren't going into it expecting to throw away 90% of the plants from the seeds you pop you're going to be joining the boycott cry-wagon. You're never going to get elite genetics crying while you grow the same lame phenos that get passed around this state like a small town bar skank. By the time you do get them all the weed nerds will be gushing over something new.

I'm willing to bet that most of the known and tested phenos going around in this state were selected from less than 20 original seeds. My friend's Apollo he grew and selected from 10 seeds in the early days of the program is all over the state being called at least 3 different things but it's unmistakable. Based on further observation of the people I know I'm willing to bet that most of the seeds started aren't original breeder packs but rather bag seed they got from people's mistakes. Everybody needs to stop being so cheap and man up and crack some beans. No way in hell I'm swapping my best clone from an elite poly hybrid pedigree for the local hermaphrodite special or anything that starts with "Blue" or "Purple." The more junk the goes around the more closely held good cuts will be.

What we do in my circle is pop as many seeds as we can and take clones before going into flower. Those clones serve as mother plants. The garbage phenos are unceremoniously discarded and the mother plant destroyed. The mediocre cuts get named whatever the seeds were called and the mother is given away to begin its trip around the state. The best cut out of 10 gets shared between 2 or 3 people and maybe some F2s get made for future breeding projects. The last run of 50 seeds and probably $700 yielded 2 or 3 top quality cuts and a dozen mediocre phenos we gave away that are still better than the clones we see passed around. I've smoked tightly held cuts from outside of my circle that were phenomenal. Specifically Grape Ape x Fruit of the Gods years back out of the Flint area and Permadiesel from the west side of the state around the same time. Ask about a cut and all you get is a sly grin and a quick change of subject.

You said it best, lots of cheap fools expect to get what they see on the box from a 5 pack. I wonder if the same people that complain about the high cost of seeds and the unpredictable nature of F1 poly hybrids are the same people that spend $1200 per cycle to run the full line up of whatever nutrient company they religiously purchase from? I only grow for personal med use and I have no qualms spending $400-500 per year on seeds. If you do you seriously need to re-evaluate what you hope to accomplish in your gardening hobby/career.
