any DNA chocolope growers?

Just got done about a month ago. Grew two in soil under 1000W using FF nutes. They finished in 64 & 69 days and gave a combined 6 zips. The yield would have been much better but for a stupid mistake that basically turned feeding into waterings. The smoke is still curing but looks the best of the run and has passed the taste test(s) with flying colors. It tastes Kushy before anything with a slight Choco bottom after three weeks in the jar. Dense ass buds like a Kush should be, this was my first experience with DNA Genetics and I am a fan. Will try to do it right next time but the failure is delicious!

I have grown chocolope in organic soil, CoCo, and DWC. My only complaint about this strain is that clones are susceptable to Powdery mildew (it may just be my environment but no other strain i cloned had this issue). From seed this strain does great! II have read some folks say it has a high tolerance to nutrients, but I have found this to be wrong. I have grown 6 of these total. One of the 6 stretched at least 70% more than the 5. The other 5 stayed about 3-4 feet tall stopping growth at that point. Taste wise the organic soil did the most justice for this plant (for me). Yield wise coco did better (for me). Flowering time was between 70-85 days for me. Out of my 6 seeds I did not have a chocolate variety, but varieties closer to the cannalope parent. As far as mostly sativa plants go, this one is EASY as heck to grow, and very potent! The high from it is my second favorite, with Utopia Haze taking the top spot. for me 5 of the 6 seeds I grew gave a nice sativa high, 1 plant gave a strong indica buzz.

My advise: Go easy on the nutrients, Veg for about 2 months, and DEAR GOD GIVE THE PLANT SOME SUPPORT! If grown tree style the buds usually get too heavy for the stems. For maximum weight ScroG it without topping. This plant does just as well in a scrog as it does tree style, but your trading off a higher weight (sc1.jpgrog) with bigger colas (tree style). Most of the Chocolope I grew tree style still wound up with 3-4 main colas, but I pinched the hell out of all my main stalks in veg.

Shoot me a PM if you have any questions about this strain!

the pic is of one of my scrogs that was a bit over crowded... It turned out well though thanks to 9 fans in that 2x4. Yielded 12oz under 2 400W CMH lights.

^^did you grow Chocolope or Chocolope Kush haha " dense like a Kush should be" Chocolope has no Kush in it, nor does it taste like Kush at all. There is a dense pheno that's common, but not as dense as an Afghan by any means. There are also some Sativa heavy phenos that are really the better ones IMO. They have a much more heady high, and slight fruitiness to the taste and smell. The chunkier pheno has that raw chocolate taste it gets.

I have a choco mom that I have done a couple runs of. Mine is very sativa leaning, 10 to 11 week flower, reasonably nice potency, and the buds have a very intense chocolate aroma that comes through with the exhale of the smoke. Mine is a finicky bitch, though, easy to burn with nutes, and generally sensative to environmental stress.
