Any Bay Area growers trimming yet

I should think many smart growers would have it wound up by now,
as the fog season is almost upon us,
depends on the size of your crop ultimately and getting the trimmers in,
on time too, they are getting more and more expensive every year,
tho the machines are worth the effort,
it still need to be automated to cut ever increasing costs

South Bay here. Lost a few branches to that unexpected rain last week and those buds are finally dried and jarred. I gave my plants their last water on Monday (they're starting to get real stinky :weed: So chop chop tomorrow. I could wait up to another week, but the trichs are pretty much where I like them (mostly cloudy with some amber) and my trim help is only available tomorrow 8-) Not to mention I'm not going through what I did last week (blow drying plants for 10 hours) again :eyesmoke:

Good luck :peace:

Yea it's getting real close on most of my girls. It's almost sad to cut them down after all the hard work. But that's the reason we grow. Good luck with the last few days for your plants.

If you have a blue dream og or sour your going to want to wait till 15-20 any earlier its not going to be fire unless its a 8 week strain it should be done now

I've got 1 blue dream that was a little different than the others as in it had purple stems and stAlk. That one finished and is cut and hanging. 4 more of those strains that still need a week or 2. All of this is outdoor and looking fire. Except the only seeded female I got from hempcon in San Jose. She is going to need another month and will turn into hash unless she starts to get more potent.

Was just talkin' to the wife about that. They look so sad she said :( With no water for 3 days I feel like I am torturing them. Hard to look 'em in the cola...lol :blsmoke: But as you say, that's the reason we give 'em so much love. They give it back in spades :weed:

Just remember that the last days with no water may be hard to watch but it's harder to wait when it's drying with all the extra water. I say that as I continue to trim!! I forgot how much trimming sucks

I'm in the South Bay so fog isn't something I'm worried about. But I'm sure it is in other places around the bay. It's hitting the 90's here and the ladies love it.
And yes trimming sucks

I have 200 grams in jars, so far, so I've been trimming a bit this season. But, got a decent size harvest this year and I haven't even started today's big trim yet o_O and yes, trimming sux already! :hump: But, ya don't want a bunch of kick ass seedless bud with leaves all over them :spew: So although it's a necessary evil, it's still something better looked back on than forward to...lol :eyesmoke: Hope I don't lose any fingertips trimming while watching the Playoffs :bigjoint:

Life is fukin' gooooood! (:

I am 50 miles east of the bay and I am almost ready to chop this OG. Not really cause it has to go but I have prior obligation the following week and do not want to mess things up. Let me know if I should be okay to start trimming.DSC01513.JPG

If you have to cut then you do what you gotta do. I'm no pro but I learned if you think it's ready wait 1 more week. The buds will swell. Have you looked at your trichs?

Yeah I have and they look almost 50/50 cloudy and clear. The only reason is I have the time. Next week I will be gone and I think two weeks is too long. Thanks for your help.

I agree. I harvested mine 2 weeks ago. I started to get bud rot and decided to cut my losses while I could. Smoke came out really nice though so no worries.

I grew a purple trainwreck and a purple haze, each in a 5 gallon DWC bucket...and yes, it was outside!! They grew great. I'll find some pics later to post.

Just wondering if there are any Bay Area growers starting their trim sessions yet. I have a blue dream almost ( a few days away) with the rest about 2 weeks away from trim time.
I have an outdoor blue dream going, but it's not ready yet.... Getting big too! colas doing the bernie lean

Still have 2 big girls in the valley that will go till November 7 or so. And 19 smaller girls till the 14th. Just bring in when weather is bad and nights are freezing. Have some late starters outside that will finish inside. Use the sun as much as you can. Grow big plants and sell clones all year.

What strains you growing in the valley? It's a hot October and I'm thinking of running my voodoo, tahoe og and the rest of my blue dream another week or so depending on the weather.
