Any Advice on Selecting Soil?

I see so many growers buying & adding nutes, amendments, and soils and they don't even know how/if they will work together. Ppl please look at the ingredients on the bag; the first one you see is what the product has the most abundant of in it, so like with FF their first ingredient is Composted humus so the majority of the bag is compost, too much compost can fry a plant by itself then they add nutes and a couple weeks later have to start diagnosising probs they think just occurred out the blue when they started the minute they put their shit together. (Almost) every plant i've seen grown in FF (in person, mags & online) has fried leaf edges or worst, don't believe me pay attention next time. As for nutes why buy one with lots of something that might be abuntant in the soil already instead buy one that complements it better, when you know what your foundation is it's easier to built and that applies to life period(cars, buildings, plants, whatever).

Go to home depot and get a bale of Premier 3.0 cu. ft. Peat Moss and three bags of perlite. For less than $20 you'll be able to mix up 5-7, 5 gallon buckets of soil. Then drop another $20 and get something like Fox Farms grow big and a few more dollars on a ph test kit and maybe some PH down.

I like the coco. real simple and the nutes (cana coco A&B0 are cheap and real simple to use start to finish. Just my opinion and it's worth every penny it cost ya

People hate on MG organic soil, but I've used it before years ago and didn't have a problem with it and got pretty damn good results. Here's some pics of my first SD run under flos with it:
