I was confused just now looking on homedepot.com they have a few Fluorex replacement bulbs for sale and I think that means that all of them are at 6500 and blue, but some of them say they need a certain kind of mogul base.... I want 6500K and 3000K CFL's that I can just plug into a regular socket.. Does soft white mean they are I don't care if they are Flourex or reg CFL sized, I just want to get them now cause I am ready to start my first Hydro grow.

no don't you will have to return them. most replacement bulbs are without a ballast.

check this out bulbs.com - Results 6 bucks a pop for 42w 2700k 2800 lumens get these for flowering

just go to wally world and get daylight 26 watt bulbs for veg they put out plenty of light for extremely fast growth if you get them close look at my grow, I stunted them once with too many nutes but if you get the nutes right they will explode in hydro.

good luck, don't waste your money on bigger CFL's the lumens just drop fast per watt and small ones are just as effective.

N-lights make sense because they have more PAR light but dont screw with over 42watts other than that.

I like the 65w 6500k that use the medium base. They are like 15.00 at menards, but they put out 4800lumens, and my plants love them. I use them and the 43w warm to flower. People will tell you that the small ones have better lumen output, but the big ones still put out more lumens. Go big for cfl.
