Another Cargiver question..

So I have been reading alot on this site about caregivers and what they should/should not be doing. While looing I saw a caregiver that offered exelent prices as well as free shake for edibles. I am just wondering if there are alot of good caretakers out there like that or are most of the caregivers like mine.. who basically just sells to me at street prices with minor breaks here or there ( that is only when I can get a hold of him ).

Work with your Caregiver. Many of them don't have a clue about what pricing is and many are just drug dealers paying $280z and reselling for $400. Keep that in mind.

Work with your guy if you like him and tell him what you want to pay. If he can do it, he will. If not, he won't.

Some people do give stuff away but I don't personally know any. I like to.give my patients free samples of edibles, tinctures, and new strains to try. I like to keep my shake because doing small batches of hash or edibles is a pain in the ass. If I'm going to spend 3 months making a tincture I want to make a good size batch. As far as prices on bud it is variable based on many factors. If I feel a patient is screwing me and reselling the bud I let them have at $200 just to make money on the side their price will go up. If for a few months they only needed 1oz per month and then they started needing 5oz per month red flags will start going off in my mind. I have seen this practice too many times by patients I take care of in hospitals with selling their oxy. I will not stand by and allow it to happen with the medicine I provide to them.

There is nothing wrong with a Caregiver being compensated for the meds. It costs money to cultivate, it takes a LOT of time and an awful lots of love to consistently cultivate quality medicine. If a patient likes what a Caregiver has to offer it is between the two of them what the compensation should be IMO. If its $80oz so be it, if its $280oz, so be it. That is up to them.

People out there trying to price fix are just being stupid. It won't happen.

I make $500hr in my job, I make plenty of money, I am not a drug dealer, I do NOT Caregive for profit, I do it for the 3 patients I currently take an interest in helping. PERIOD. Every situation is different.

@plant magic - I see exactly what your saying about your patients selling some thing that is not really for "re-sale". Its just hard for me to have confidence in this guy when its just like im buying it from a street level drug dealer. I buy the same amount each week along with some edibles.. I just feel like paying 190 a half is a little crazy each and every week..

That is high in my opinion, I would not pay that to a caregiver. I would tell him he needs to cut the price or you will find a new one.

Tell him to lower the price, if I was your caregiver and I just paid $200 to take over your care I would probably rather adjust my rate than try and find a replacement patient and pay another $200. There were several caregivers at Saturdays meeting looking for patients. If it gets to that point shoot me a PM and I can help you get in touch with somebody.

Yup. The guys from Tempe Herbal Connections were there too. Good option for more conservative folks as those guys were pretty "non-scene" and tend to work mostly with the elderly conservative folks.

Or of course you can go with ME =) I have room for 2 more patients.

You make 500 dollars an hour ??? Okay $500.00 x 8 hour work day = $4,000.00 WOW! $500.00 x 40 hour work week ( standard ) = $20,000.00

Regardless if its bs or not, which it probably is... but if I made 20k a week, id still grow. I don't trust none of you az growers with what i insert into my lungs.
I might even be a caregiver just so i can invest a weeks worth of pay and grow a fat 72 plants.. heck id probably even buy 72 plants from people already growing so id only have to wait 8 weeks for buds.
