I've been considering moving to a dry nutrient. I don't care for purchasing water but once upon a time that's all I could get.
I used the trio for a few runs for sure and it definitely produces and it allows a bit of tuning.
Truth be told - literally the last few drops of the purple from the trio was used on those wretched LSD's that plagued me (just for the nitrogen). We've always got some form of cheaper stuff for outdoors (generic blue crystals mayhaps?) and I'm probably terrible at staying inside the lines of those pesky rules on too many things.
Mix and match if you feel like it!
Precisely why I couldn't be a foxfarmz fanboi, too much foo -foo, not enough throw down! (Oh and I'm a cheapskate too!)
I don't like staring into a nutrient calculator for days and pondering the meaning of life and I don't like to support Monsanto much either, so a little scoop of this and a little bit of that... no brainache and no conversions, good before or after a few cookies.
;)

MC 1 part is pretty good but it's really not for res use - I have and probably always will hand water so I don't really care how well it suspends and that's a deal breaker for many - the 2 part is for res use but I've read people get build up and I don't have experience with it because I don't need to burn electricity to pump something that doesn't have to be pumped. I mean.... lol

I've thought about trying mastergrow and there's a lot of people that like Jack's (also more expensive than MC) and they also work well but I don't care for the water either. You'll definitely have to study the crud and crust factor if you're thinking about trying it.
Update away Kiddo!

Mass. Med. Golden Putang live rosin. It reeks of cat piss and pineapple and oh what a high :) about 2 minutes on my press at 180.
wow that looks spectacular that makes me want to press my kief. dumb question did you measure your rate of return out of curiosity like how much trim or flower in grams returns how much kief in grams then weight of kief to weight of live rosin. i find that weighing the trim and comparing that to how much kief you harvest is a good metric for finding keeper plants
