The facts are there for you to read or not. Where are you getting your information? It's dead certain you are being fed it from the fossil fuel industry who know the facts but are delaying action. This makes you their stooge.

Fossil fuel industry, just like the timber industry in the Pacific Northwest of the past is due for a shock and I look forward to your crying about regulations that curtail its use just like you wailed about curtailed timber harvests due to the effect of non sustainable harvest of timber of earlier times. Its too bad too. The sooner we put regulations in place to curtail use of fossil fuels, the less egregious they will be. Just like communities that depended on timber revenue are all but dead due to unsustainable harvests of timber, economies will feel more pain later on than if actions are not delayed.

Energy production from fossil fuel is artificially low because the waste products are just spewed into the environment. There is no other industry that doesn't have to maintain a system to dispose of its wastes. When a chemical company pollutes a river, it saves small change relative to the cost to communities and industries downstream. Same goes with what must begin to happen with the fossil fuel waste stream. In the larger scheme, regulations save money.

There is no dispute that the temperature is changing, it is always changing. But you dont seem to hear that...

We've never had this rate of temperature change without a catastrophe like a huge volcano and in those cases, the change was short-term. I haven't heard about a huge volcano, have you?

Other causes of climate change are slow and nothing like what we are seeing.

I know you are stupid and I might as well be talking to my fence. It would be nice if you could be silent like my fence. But its smarter than you.

Read my post again. It could be happening because the earth is in a warming trend. The earth has no steady state so the climate is either warming or cooling.

I have been saying this for over a decade. We only have 200 years of data. Even if we had more there is no promise that the earth's climate is completely cyclical.

And no, I am not dumb enough to agree to your flawed challenge.

He does not understand that..

Nowhere in Earth's history has the temperature risen this much this fast, every other natural rise or fall in temperature has taken place over the course of thousands of years. This current rise in temperature has taken place over 135 years.

At this point I'm not sure if it's genuine ignorance or if they just play stupid so they don't have to actually address this point, it's not that difficult to grasp..

Is it the one graph you trot out showing temperature change over the past 200,000 years? Do you know where that data came from? Do you know how they came up with those estimates of temperature so very long ago? Do you know that the same group of professionals that put that data together are forecasting climate change due to carbon dioxide emissions? You are convinced by one set of data and reject others but you have no rationale to explain why.

We call you stupid because you leave us with no other explanation for your irrational conviction.
