AN Nutes (Help Needed) +REP

lol wow.. the idiot STILL didnt read my whole post.. just skips to the end and starts quoting utter nonsense. Here I'll bold it for him so he can stop looking like a moron..
"Make sure and pick a good base nutrient system as well, even more important than all your additives! AN has their grow/bloom/micro system, but many others are just as good (foxfarm, botanicare, general hydro, etc.) Pick the one that fits your budget the best, and then fill in with as many additives as you have cash left for.

I'd recommend big bud and voodoo juice first."
As for thinking i work for advanced nutrients.. when the guy just makes up something about septic tank cleaner I just have to call something that stupid out. There is enough wrong/incorrect info on this forum already, no need to allow some idiot to just pull info out of his ass as he's typing. He made it up, thought it sounded good, and thought no one would contradict him. There is no point even arguing with the guy, as he has yet to read the original post he loves to keep quoting, so I thought I'd point out that what hes saying is utter bullshit ;)

I did not advocate using only advanced nutrients, in fact the exact opposite. I said that two products I have used in the past were good stuff, and I would recommend them :bigjoint:

You still haven't answered the easy question of WHICH septic tank cleaner you're talking about.

I have to agree, I don't believe that product exists. It sounds very obviously made up.

A septic tank cleaner that is not only harmless to plants, but actually beneficial to them? Give me a break.

Oh, and I would add one further qualifier: it has to not contain any chemical I wouldn't want to ingest. We're talking about MJ here, not some ornamental plant. It has to be safe for human consumption or it's no good.

So that's the challenge, name the septic tank cleaner that fits that bill. I know that you won't, you'll either ignore this or deflect like you did to Kushalicious, because you can't name any such product.

there's plenty of 100% ORGANIC septic tank cleaners feel free to do a google serch on them....an while direct feeding would kill any plant a proper DILIUTION rate is all thats required....feel free to conduct your own tests before spouting off which you think you know but dont...azkiss-ass

I'd say your supplier is getting you good. Dont fall that business marketing bs. i did skim through but i dont recall you mentioning how many plants your planning to do. You should shop based on your needs. For example big bud, your only going to use like 3-4 grams per feeding for every 5 gallon. Im allowed 6 plants and i have ways to go still with the 80 gram big bud. Overdrive, i only use like 3 ounces per harvest. I'd say spent the time and do some math and you can save a lot of money. Yes AN products are expensive to purchase. Bud blood, sample pack is plenty for me. Also you can check out considering Bud Candy instead of carboload. Its theyre mix of carboload and sweetleaf, which i think is discontinued for this reason. Hope this helps. good luck

yeah, that sounds pretty reasonable...haven't really tried bud blood yet, but that is next on the list of advanced nutrients stuff to check out...

thx sparki - been checking out your postings and you sound like you have a lot to teach us small timers...

I like to start off with a cheaper veg nute such as fox farm or botanicare. Then for the flower I use Iguana juice, Nirvana, F1, H2, Budcandy, Organism XL and Botanicare's aquashield (cheap voodoo juice) and Fox farm's Big bloom. The big bloom is essential IMO if your using soil. Basically an organic PK boost with other good ingredients such as seaweed and kelp. Noticed improved root production and fewer instances of nutrient lockout problems (when using synthetics), and fewer problems with P or K deficiencies as the BB has a .01-.3-.7 NPK. I use the big bloom everytime I feed from veg to flower, and treat with the Organism and Aquashield twice in veg. But all you will really need from start to finish is the Iguana Juice grow and bloom, and the Fox Farm big bloom all of that should be just under 100 bucks and will produce great results (if you wanna add that extra kick I highly reccommend Budcandy in flower, adds a lot of resin/flavor and feeds microbes).

Totally agree with cheaper base nutes A.N.A...
MOBee I use botanicare pro bloom, botanicare cal-mag, and botanicare liquid karma as a base. I one dose of voodoo juice at the start of flowering. Later in I add big bud, and in the end I add overdrive.

My experiance with AN went something like this.
When I first bought the AN supplements I left the shop feeling like the product was way overpriced, later on I felt like I had wasted a bunch of money. I felt like I had fallen for the hype machine, a fast talking salesman, and a marketing campaign. Then I used the hundred dollar bottle of voodoo juice (shit I paid for it I might as well use it and see what it does), anyway the roots are larger in two weeks than I am use to at the end of a cycle. Honestly some of the tap roots are larger than the base of the plant.

I still can't justify the higher cost of the AN base nutes so I use the aformentioned regement from Botanicare.

A side note to everyone else:
I do not care what is in it, it works. If they found a way to make septic cleaner or draino or whatever work on roots like voodoo does than that is fine by me. I still think it's a little expensive, but in this case you will get what you pay for.

Actually you can achieve similar results as voodoojuice by using Botanicare's Aquashield. Im not sure if the new 2ml/L voodoo is out yet, it has 8 strains of bacteria instead of 5. Anyway we all can agree that voodoo juice is rediculously overpriced ($100+ for one liter with dilution rate of 7.5ml/liter). Well the botanicare product has 3 of the 5 strains found in voodoo juice but only costs anywhere from $15/liter to $25/Liter depending on where you buy it and the dilution rate is 5-15 ml/Gallon. Ive used both and voodoo juice is better but definitely not over $75 better.
Since were on the topic of root innoculants I also have to Highly recommend organism XL by Roots Organic. It has a variety of the bacteria and fungal strains also found in Pirhana, terantula and voodoo juice. It is very dark and rich in consistency. Ive used it in an ebb and flow system but wouldnt reccommend it for anything with drip lines or sprayers. Since your in soil though i thought it might be worth mentioning that the Organism Xl has a bacterial insect larvaeacide that is harmless to plants, it is the same bacterial strain used in mosquito dunks (Bacillus Thuringiensis). Lastly it also could be used as a cheaper alternative to organic surfactants such as AN's wet betty (which uses Yucca Extract as a surfactant) and humic acid additives because aside from all the beneficials, it also contains 5% kelp/25% Yucca Extract (surfactant)/ and 3% Humic Acid. Best part is it costs about 30 bucks for an 8 oz container of powder. Hope this helps.

Great post, although as usual, I find myself a bit confused by their (ANs) dilution directions. I know it says 7.5 ml/L on the container, but my AN Veg and Bloom charts only have me using around 1.25 ml/L on average. The charts have it bumped up to 3ml/L on the second week of Flower, and that is the highest amount in recommends at any stage.

Oops I should have looked at the schedule first lol. I stand corrected.

But even if the dilution rates are the same, the voodoo still seems a bit too steep. However it has been a while since Ive used it. perhaps it was better than I can remember.

You need AN Sensigrow A and SensiGrow B for your veg cycle and then you need Sensibloom A & B for bloom cycle.

What do you guys think about the new dilution thing Advanced Nutrients is supposed to be doing with their new line that's coming out where everything is going to be like 2ml/L or something like that?

Definitely makes things simpler.

Yeah, I don't understand that at all... was hoping somebody out there could explain why you would feed at the same strength throughout the plants life?

Although yes, it is obviously easier.

I hadn't thought of that. Maybe it has something to do with the timing of the additives? Cuz they don't have you using everything every week.

Maybe it's just magic? Dunno. I'm gonna get some as soon as I can and see if it does everything they say.
