Hi everyone. I noticed a lot of nutrient companies are pushing amino acid additives, but I'm having a hard time finding independent sources that confirm or show the results of adding them.
So far I've heard that plants make amino acids on there own but adding them is supposed to help anyway. There are over 20+ types of amino acids and the "L" type are supposed to be the best or what growers should be adding. The "D" type are supposed to be avoided.
This is of course what the manufacture's claim and they all say there are tons of scientific research that proves the benefits of adding these additives, but I can't find these studies anywhere. Does anyone have more info on them? I tried Google and Wikipedia, but I keep coming up short on good solid info in how they relate to plant growth.
