War is great for the American economy. Want to be and stay number 1 super power? Make more war. Create enemies.

What other reason has Biden been banging on about Taiwan recently? Its not like One China is a new thing and its not like China hasn't been able to walk over Taiwan for decades if it choose to. So why bang on about it now? Why attempt to get involved in something that is not Americas concern if it wasn't for wanting war?



Former prime minister Paul Keating says America will never condone or accept a state “as large as them”, which is what China presents.

“They would’ve preferred they remain in poverty … forever,” Mr Keating said.

“The fact that China’s now an industrial economy larger than the United States … they say ‘hang on this is not in the playbook’."


One question as to why the Chinese military build-up should not be seen as a provocation, he explained by comparing Chinese military expenditure to that of the USA, which is much greater.

The AUKUS Agreement, according to his analysis, has tied us into the U.S. defence strategy, diminishing our independence. We have in effect, seen our national foreign policy handed over to the security and defence boffins, a USA concerned about its hegemony and the failing UK

I love em!

I used to drink at the American club in Syd for a little while. Dated a couple when i was younger and had work dealings with quite a lot. Travelled with quite a few. Great people and not like how the Nation of the US presents itself. Nearly every one is embarrassed by being American. Have you ever watched Graham Norton and his American guests often apologise for America? That's how i see Americans.

Australia has been successfully cajoled into giving up her sovereignty in terms of foreign policy in return for membership in the Western Imperial Blob. Along with NATO, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines and sometimes India.

That effectively means that your future (and mine, as an American) has been given over to the tender mercies of Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon and other corporate monsters who profit from mass murder.

The Australian Prime Minister I have the most respect for was effectively overthrown in a Western backed coup; Gough Whitlam.

The average person no matter where they're from just wants health, security, stability, food on the table, and maybe a little something leftover for fun.

We all live under the umbrellas of our respective politics, governments, corporations and authorities...

Please don't lump masses into your pigeon-holed view of reality.

There was a guy from China at work and he gave indications of what it is like to live in China. I think I will stay in the West with its warts as I can post this with freedom and no concern my government will be knocking at my door.

Like it or not, WE are ultimately responsible for what our democracy does.

You don't get to play it both ways; you can't say we live in a democracy and then throw up your hands and say, "well, you know that crazy gubmint of ours gonna go make war when it wants!"

Personally, I'm fully convinced that the United States is a crypto Fascist authoritarian State and has been for decades. The fact that we've been at war almost continuously since the end of WWII is a pretty big hint. The fact that we've been in as many as SEVEN wars at once at various points since 9/11 and never, ever not in active hostilities somewhere pretty much clinches the deal on the form policy front and there have been plenty of tells domestically as well.

Average Americans are told what to think all day long, every day. What we aren't told about are our responsibilities as citizens.

What's your point? That somehow I'm responsible? I've voted, advised, protested, for for accountability.

The simple fact is that I'm on the wrong side of history; America is a declining empire, bent on self immolation.

How could asking you to fill in the blanks make you responsible for actions in other countries? I never thought to elevate you to that level.

Sorry, I understood what I was asking. I will try it again. What were the seven wars the US has been in since 2001?

Not only since 2001 but also concurrently during multiple points even according to whoever wants to believe that tripe.

It sounds like you may have limited dealings with Chinese people with how your first sentence is worded?
I think most of us like to live in the country we are born in. Not always of cause but most of us do. That doesn't mean we cannot visit and enjoy other cultures and countries of cause.

The Chinese have been a part of Australia's history since the Gold rush.
I haven't been to China but from what I've experienced Chinese people are much like any other. Kind, generous with a love of good food, table tennis and gambling.
We see a real lot of Chinese students in Oz and they are very polite and well behaved compared to aussies. As a race they are starting to become well travelled which is awesome. Its also very fitting for a country with such a rich history. A well travelled and educated race means their country should be in good hands. Its absolutely wonderful how they have pulled so many millions of people out of poverty in such a short time. They are now helping other countries to do the same. Sure they have their own problems but Mass shootings are not one of them.
