AMBER TRICHOME PRODUCING STRAINS

There you go man, amber trichs aren't like unicorns, lol.
:lol::lol::lol::lol: yep yep yep.....

..Point im tryna get at though is that they are still a very small percentage and the majority of trichs turn black, totally bypassing the amber stage(as seen in 3rd pic). Not only that these particular strains that I've grown (some allegedly pure indicas) have had to be flowered for a ridiculous length of time. :spew:...to get that small percentage :shock:

Anyway was really just looking for a few strains to try with a good chance of ripening with a high percentage of amber.....quicker the better :lol::lol:

Decided for next grow to go with Kali Mist by sensible seeds....seen some pics floating about in here with decent amount of amber....made a few peoples top 5 strain list too so should be good :bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

Aloha @RM3 .
Haven't seen you posting for a while.
How are things?
You still making beans?
I check in here every so often as I still get pm's here but have not posted much since retiring. We bought a farm, built a new indoor grow space with led's and now also do an outdoor grow. Just finished our chicken coup and added chickens. And yeppers I still breed, last year I had finally named my goal strain of Neverland. We had a Ridfest with escape to Neverland as the theme and shared several Neverland crosses. I grew one of them in my outdoor grow last year we named FucNZ which was Colorado Thunderfuck x Neverland x Zweed (all my gear). This year we are doing a HAAGA retreat for Ridfest and I'll be sharing my complete catalog of beans in order to better spread the genetics. HAAGA was a Riddler response to MAGA and = High As A Giraffe's Ass

I completed my mission of figuring out everything that makes our herb better via my many experiments over the years. Created what we dubbed Awesome Sauce, a nute additive that includes all the elements we determined to enhance our herb (recipe shared in my 2nd book) Riddlerz all around the world are now enjoying and sharing high quality weed that we call RG which = Riddler Grown. I fought the bad info & myths for a decade and now I'm simply enjoyin retirement and stress free country livin

Thanks for askin

One of the latest I grew was Dutch passions- Hindu Kush, left to flower for a long period....still no dice. Usual few amber trich's here n there but not what I expected. It's funny a lot of info on riu when they talk about harvesting times usually say harvest about 10% amber or whatever....but im lucky if ive seen 2% amber on any of my grows or anyone elses grows i've seen, it almost seems non existent :???::???::confused: Maybe a bad choice of strains for what im looking for, who knows but yeah like you say seems to be quite common with strains these dayz :neutral:
Try kickin down your day cycle some. I have a few cuts I run every once n awhile. They wont amber at all. I cut down to 10/14 or 9/15 around in there. And they amber up really nice.

I'm glad you and some others realize this, I've been pointing it out to people for many years. Its very common among indoor pot growers to just decide that flowering starts at 12/12 flip. But they are the only people I've ever seen with this misconception. I thought that way at one point as well, but then realized how that was ignoring basic plant biology.

Growers outside wouldn't say a plant was flowering until it started showing flowers, and the same applies inside but some people do like to ignore that. This also explains most of why breeder recommendations seem so wrong. Most breeders understand that flower time begins when flower form, and thats what they list as flowering time. Then when growers count 12/12 time instead it makes it seem like the breeder is way off, and makes new growers think they need to harvest even though the plant is way early.
Seed plants I dont count from flip. But matured clones already that I flip. I start counting at day 1. And 9 weekers stay at 9 weeks. But the first seed run of it went 11-11 1/2 weeks.
