Am I the only person growing Apollo 13???

Sometimes it seems like it's just sub and me... never see anyone else's grow results on this strain. Wish there were as many good grow journals floating around as the newer and more popular tga strains.

I would've bought it and grown it now but it was out of stock, so got some vortex. just popped, 8/8 poking out.
The description of the apollo is just what i was after, hopefully some of these vortex are similar.

Now that I've been growing the apollo dom cut of the void and finally figured out what it is (purple apollo) thanks to sub telling me and everyone else on the weed nerd, but I do plan to do an apollo13bx grow at some point because I need to see what the real deal apollo13 is like but its not high up on the to do list seeing I have a long way to go before I've grown the void to its full potential but it is definitely something I plan to do as well as grow more apollo crosses in the future. Since I've started understanding genetics a little bit and realized what I have with that the void cut I've gone all high school sweet heart on apollo, so post some pics of your grow for me...

Yeah Apollo is probably one of the cuts sub used a lot in crosses though not as much in his new strains. He's said it's one of the more popular strains of his but I never see anyone else talking about growing it or posting growthreads. I used to grow Apollo 11 and loved it and have some genius x deep chunks from another breeder in veg as well, so very excited about my apollo 13s, which have turned out to be very hardy and beautiful plants. Just wishing there were some more nice growthreads on it here like you see for a lot of the other TGA strains... maybe this thread will bring out a few 'closet' apollo 13 growers :) And yeah, when I heard Sub say Void was 'purple apollo 13' yeah, it got added to my checklist to buy :)

I'm trying to get a nice cross section of strains in my TGA genetics without too much duplication... got Ace of Spades, Cheesequake and Timewreck arriving any day and it's going to be nice being able to see other people's grow threads/results for those just wish there were more I could find on apollo. I'm just as psyched if not moreso to grow them out.

I hear ya on the strain selection, at the moment I have only the void and chernobyl growing but I have 3 different female chernobyl plants from seed I need to grow out and choose 1 or possibly 2 to keep but I'm gonna veg them a bit longer to make sure I get enough to properly sample them, lol. The chernobyl should give me a taste of trainwreck and JTR based on what I see so far but JTR is another one thats on "the list" for me even though I'll get to see what it kinda looks/tatses like. I'm glad I cracked as many as I did (6 total), ones heavy sativa leaning, the other is heavier on the indica side and then I have one that looks more of a 50/50 ind/sat mix, I'm thinking thats the one to keep but we shall see.

At the moment I have querkle (urk pheno), 2 different phenos of jillybean, the void and a couple non TGA strains (original amnesia and burmese kush) curing at the moment, querkle will be getting grown again real real soon and jilly may even get another run by me at some point. Its only been curing for a little more than a week and it already tastes amazing, I gotta stop smoking it or else its gonna disappear before its cured properly (I only steal buds when its time to open the jars for burping, lol).

I've got Apollo 13 BX in the backlog. I'm thinking about growing some outside this summer if I can find the space (are you reading this CAS?). I'd like to cross A13 with my Kali Mist to shorten the flower period without degrading the sativa dominance.

how short is your kali mist flower period? Apollo has got to be well and done by day 65 easy, genius lineage.

The Kali Mist goes around 80 days or more. I am hoping to bring that down by crossing with the A13. Reservoir seeds did a Kali Mist x Apollo 11 that supposedly finishes around 65 days. I haven't tried that but it is what I have in mind.

Apollo 11 finishes faster than apollo 13. Apollo 11 is a 49-56 day strain, Apollo 13 is a 63 day strain. Not sure if that will make a difference for you. Apollo 13 is Genius x P75 (one of Cinderella 99's predecessor in the cubing process) and Apollo 11 is Genius x Cindy 99. Cindy might be a better choice to cross with if you're going for lower flower time.

You're probably right about Cindy being a better strain to cross with. I happen to have the A13 seeds so I figured I'd use them. I also have Vortex, which finishes faster than A13. Maybe I should use it instead, or try both. I'm just a wannabe pollen chucker looking for a good sativa I can finish outside in Colorado. Kali Mist is my favorite Sativa so I want to work with her for the high profile.

apollo 13 was my first store bought genetic. i got them from bros grimm.

i made a bunch of F2s and i last grew some out a few months ago.

this is one of my typical apollo 13 F2s. the plants all pretty much look like this.

i like the high. i made about 2000 seeds. lol
