Am I Right To Start Flushing Now?

I get called a troll because I disagree.
My argument has been the same since post 15 and nobody has shown that feeding until harvest increases yield or potency.
You guys are forum warriors, because I disagree with a well known forum poster that you like you tell me stfu and leave, form your own thoughts.
Neither side can prove, that would take a fair number of plants to statistically prove this either direction. Neither side will make progress on that line of thought without a full scale experiment. No point in going over this repeatedly, but it is the crux of the issue, no decent testing has been done and the difference isn't night and day enough to be clearly proven in a side by side.

I would love to test all this stuff fully, just need a legal place to do it. I would love to see a non-profit community funded test lab/grow facility opened in CO. Could sell any safe bud to support the operating costs after initial build investment from community.

A place that can really test all these things out and prove it and be a trustworthy source without conflicts of interest (for testing products [think lights, nutes, strain info, ...])

I agree with your point. After feeding the plant for almost 3 months at a ppm average of 1200 say, the nutrients available in the root system will keep that plant healthy for a long fucking time. In soil, you could easily stop feeding at 6 weeks on an 8 week grow because there are enough nutes already available. In hydro, I stop adding nutes at week 6 for an 8 week plant. Do a PPM reading on the drop off of nute levels in a week, by simply adding H2O. I will bet that your PPM reading hardly drops at all, simply because of stored nutes in the root system.
Some people claim that flushing does nothing. I believe, and practice a dramatic reduction in nutrients in the final 2 or 3 weeks. I can observe the EC drop, knowing that the purity of the water is washing the plant out. Simple. So, all you guy's out there that do 1500 PPM until the end of growth, try dropping out at week 6 with the nutes, and you will have better burning and tasting smoke at 10 weeks. Simple and cost effective. This is what I have found to be true.
She is fat dumb, and happy, barefoot, but not pregnant, eating bon-bons in her bathrobe and producing dank stank.

Why you want to make the girl unhappy by sucking the paint off her toenails, while she is the most productive. is way beyond me.

Here is the bottom line IMO, in the case of every grower, it is your garden, you can do whatever you want. Use pesticides, pee on em, jack off on em, chop em early, dry em fast, flush em whatever ,,,,,,,,

But you should not be teaching that it is right without knowing/understanding the why of it

the debate will actually never end as growing MJ is like religion & politics. Peoples beliefs get in the way and there is nothing anyone can do to change that

don't let status fool you.

"well-known member" is post based not time based.

this means you can be here a week and be well-known.

if a person is rational and willing to listen, say, as doer was when he was saying boiling was stupid, but then after being provided with scientific information, saw the reality of it,just sayin:bigjoint:

There are a lot of test labs used. we have 19 acres in Colorado, 125 acres in northern California and 25 acres in Florida everglades,.

It does not matter if it was written in stone

The good thing about this flower is you can do what you want to it and still get great weed. Its just to bad others think people should do what they say because they said it.

Almost. We are changing it. I saw a study on something recently...some new medical benefit.

The govt did not want it studied. We know why. Now they are quietly backing off, since more that 1/2 of the States are compassionate.

Well, don't be part of the problem. That is really a problem. Paraphrasing. Putting words in my mouth and we are buddies.

Did I say anything about boiling? Or did I just ask? I certainly never said it was stupid. You said you did boiling so I was able to bypass stupid, right off. :)

It takes more than a week. But, I get your point. We don't know anything that can be said by post count. It says I'm a speedy typer is all.

It says I stay just below being banned for all time. :)

What I say, has nothing to with anything that I have not reseached and experimented with.

I did not know the mech of boiling, but now I do. Thanks Chuck!

But, you won't see me pontificating or even saying Chuck is saying, about it.

Heres a question then

If you look at companies charts who supply food like bonticare, canna and such. There pre harvest is ALWAYS nothing but water. You may find something like bonticare has clearx for the last 4-5 days.

If it was not suppose to happen why would they print it.

Are they wrong?

I'm hoping these debates will soon end now that MJ has become legal in a few states.(and more to follow)

Until we have universities conducting controlled experiments and producing professional papers on these controversial subjects, the debates will continue.

I have a MJ medical card so I can buy from dispensaries but their pot is not as good as mine, mostly because I take the time and effort to cure properly

As you say RM3. "it's all about the harvest and cure"....the rest is mice nuts

yes, all about marketing and sales

And if you find that all the MMJ growers have bought into that, you leave it on.

Marketing to change perception is very expensive. Best to just show us what we want to see.
