Hi guys,

First time growing. So I have 2 plants that I believe are ready to go. They've been flowering outdoors in my greenhouse for 2 months on the day.

Growing 2 strains:

Romulan:

Dutch Treat

Here's a close-up of one of the buds:

And I also noticed one of the branches with some nugs on it has dried up, also some of the very bottom branches have dried too:

What do you think, can I cut em?

Buy a scope (at least 60x) Take a look at the trichomes. I like to chop right when I first start to see amber trichs.

can't tell from photos... Trichs look possible milky/cloudy. Get a magnification device to watch for trichome color change to amber.
I never harvest till at least 20% amber...

Thanks guys, Just grabbed a glass off ebay 60x with LED so will check in a couple days. As for the branch dying, is that normal? Almost thought it was from me waiting for as long as I have. The bud on the branch smells a bit weird so I don't think I can salvage it, but thankfully its a very bushy plant.

The dying branch probably got tweeked a bit too much some time back. Usually when that happens they struggle on through... Looks like it took a hard hit... Harvest it for smoke anyway...
