Alright guys I have a crazy idea

Ok so i'm kind of a self sufficient type of guy, i love weed and i love producing things on my own like veggies and my own filtered water and cool shit like that. So I was doing some research on aquaponics the other night and came up with this crazy idea.......instead of growing vegetables in your aqua garden could you grow cannabis? Incase anyone here doesn't know, the idea of aquaponics is to use the waste from fish in order to fertilize your vegetables therefore no need for fertilizer and in return the fish eat for free as well. (not off your veggies tho!)

I'd like to get to the technical stuff of floating a 6 foot tree on water later, for now I'm simply interested in the mixture of fish waste to fertlize marijuana, nitrogen amounts that kind of stuff.....would it even be possible???

Alaska fish emulsion (5-1-1 if Im not mistaken) has been widely used for years and Im pretty sure the only thing in it is fish shit....-S0uP

Yeah, I know that but I guess what my concern is if that's the ONLY thing it is getting is fish waste, the idea is to grow tilapia in the same tub that im growing cannabis. I cant start adding all sorts of funky fertilizers to my clean water, or maybe I can I really truly don't know...

you certainly can't add any fertilizer or you risk getting your ass ripped in this forum. people here are like that and it's not a bad thing.
I know aquaponics is a legit form of hydro but I've never seen a grow using it. There's a pretty big aquaponics greenhouse here. they don't grow weed.....well maybe in the back room who knows. Been done for years 30 or more that I KNOW OF.. you can find lots of vidoe on Youtub.

I've been looking into aqua phonics too, I'm thinking of converting this old water tank into an aquaponic setup in the next few months. I want to use solar power.
I will start by seeing if i can keep the fish alive before i introduce the plants.

Should be interesting :)
