Alpine Strawberries

I bought a Varigeated Alpine Strawberry Bush this weekend but I cannot seem to find any pics of descriptions of the fruit anywhere. Does anyone have any experience with this variety? Is it prone to running, everbearing etc.....?

If by any chance you are talking about the tiny Mignonette Strawberries, I may be able to help!
I grow these in a split barrel For use in my kitchen.

I use an organic potting soil, mixed with compost, gravel, Styrofoam and wood chips.
They thrive in a well drained medium.
THIS is the resource that I found most useful when starting up.

They grow really quickly, and keep me in a constant supply of fruit! That being said, I live in a daily summer kinda climate.. So days are pretty much 12 - 14 hours long.

Good luck growing them!

(see if you can buy some of the mixed varieties.
I have yellow, purple, green and the classic red!

No to running, It does outgrow small pots in a very short time, so just start big! The fruit is delicate, and is easily damaged by pests, so do your best to keep the buggers away!

The fruits are produced year round, so you can pretty much harvest through the entire period.
They grow to about an inch in length, some varieties much longer than they are wide. The fruits start growth slightly white and green, but progress to become a juicy red.
Yellow and Purple(ish) varieties are available too!
Due to the quick growth, these plants can easily be trained along the ground, or even as vines along a stake.

Sorry, but I misread your post the first time! I hope this better sums up what you wanted to know.

Thanks guys, right now they are both in 3 gallon pots but, I may transplant after they get a bit older. I may also trellis them so the fruit stays off the ground. I have some 1x1 chicken wire that I will make cages out of when they start to fruit, I cannot wait.
