Hi Mr. Head!
5 Vero18 @1,4A will need something about 150v and thats out of its range. But you can take the hlg-185h-c1050 because it delivers 190v@1050mA and is good for 6 Vero18(6x 29,5v=177v@1,05A=186w). And you can also take round Intel stock heatsinks for socket 1155, the one with copper core works awesome with Vero18 and costs only 4$.

Too much of a performance hit according to the charts I'm going to grab some 4000k Vero 29's and use CEN-100-42 or the LPF-90-42. I'm thinking I'll probably add another COB at a later date. This should be a good start and comparable to my 400watt HPS with a cheapie bulb in it.

APV-12-12 this is acceptable for 4 fans?

Of course the heatsink and fan combo I have in the spare room is an LGA1366. I'll check it out a bit later. with the 1155 socket are you attaching with screws or the kapton tapes?

Sure did, upped the ppms from 800 to 1200, cal mag at 300 ppm after fresh ro, then 900 of my dyna nutrients. My friend had the problem with other nutrients as well. I'm gonna convince him To switch to soil never had this problem.
Sounds like you prepared well, strange.

Talked to a guy who really knew his stuff, it's like you guys said it's a nitrogen deficiency, happens when you switch over to the red Kelvin light, the plant begins to think it's time to Flower even if you haven't flipped to 12/12. So It begins up taking massive amounts of nitrogen and calmag, I added a shit ton and the plant is doing a lot better.

Even those these Vero 29 are not hps, they are damn near more powerful and I saw my friends plant almost look like they were fried by the sheer power of the light and spectrum change, it was a lot more subtle with the hps.

I'm am noticing now with Vero29v2 there is a 3500K option. I intended to choose the 4000K for an "all around" veg/flower light. Is the 3500K good for all around or stick to 4000K?

I went with 3500k on my flower panel because digi-key had not stocked 4000k yet. Having said that the 3500k chips look a lot more 'yellow' then my 4000k lights.

I would go for the 4000k for sure. Pretty wonderfully balanced spectrum, my vegging plants look gorgeous under them. :weed:

Don't have any exact dates but here is a girl i just transplanted into her 3 gal pot a few days ago vegged under 4000k Bridgelux chips.

And if you want to see how plants flower under the 4000k spectrum check out GreenGenes thread.

Hello everyone
I have a question about vero18
What is the best way to go, 5 V18 on hlg-120-1050b or 6 on a 185-1050b and is pico molex is a good way to plug the cob or is it really better to solder them?
Does 18 V18 on 3 hlg-185-1050 on 18 90mm ventirads are a good option for a 105x105x135cm box (3.5x3.5x4.5feet) how many cm or inch i must keep my light from the top, i believe it is 1 foot but not sure with 30w!?!
Thanks, May the gr/w be with you all★

Looking for a little help. I'm building a couple veg lights using Vero 10s. I was just about to wire one of them up when I realized one driver is not like the rest. 3 of them are labeled like the top driver in the picture. Then there is the bottom one. There is a blue and a brown wire coming from the DC side rather than a red/black. Was this thing wired wrong or was it labeled upside down?? What is a safe option for my next step

I would pop it open and make sure it is wired correctly. Could be the case was just put on backwards but no way to tell with out taking a look at the inside.
