..ok, so i probably no less about how to use this site then what i have in my closet..but knowledge is power and i need some!! here is what i have: cfl's 125w 6400k; 200w 5000k; 250w 6500k. (will get a 250w 3000k soon). two girls (1 mazar and 1 nebula) growing in a nice soil mix with some hydroton added in. i have all the required nutrients and supp's. here is what i don't have..HEALTHY plants uuuggghhh!! the girls are 2 months old and seem to be doing better but starting out i did put a hurting on them. they seem to be doing better now. i think my major hang up is the distance from the top of the plants (for this age of plant)to the lights(starterd them out on the 125 and they now have a 250 on the top and the 125 on the side). i have them within 2-3 inches but the leaves are staying in a V-shape so i pulling it up to 8 inches. could use a little help..working on this blogging thing too!!

yea most people dont start out with huge light bulbs like that, most CFL's will advertise that their light bulbs replaces a light bulb of a certain wattage, I personally have never heard of a 250w CFL, ur wasting ur time with it anyways, the larger the bulb the less efficient it will be, better off grabbing 10x 26 w light bulbs and spread them out so more of the plant gets coverage by the light. IM running a setup with mixed CFL's, i can use 12 but only use 9 atm and the setup works great check it out in my signature
