Alkaline Soil Correction with Acidic Water?

Ok...so i'm trying to get my soil to the perfect PH for my plants. My soil is really alkaline and if I adjust my water with vinegar, thus making it more acidic, will that begin the correction and make my soil's acidity level raise just a little?

pHing the water is temporary at best and useless for the long term.

Adding something like Garden sulfur will bring your pH down and keep it there.

Ok. So, I get some garden sulfur and sprinkle it on the surrounding soil and that should help the soil get away from being too alkaline?

Yes, garden sulfur will lower soil pH.

How are you testing your soils pH? What is the pH and what kind of soil?
