Ive heard the same thing, but when you compare both beside each other, the structure is a bit different, and the smoke is different for sure.

dumpster apparently is a nl #5 x an ohio g13 strain. it is extremely potent and my favorite strain all time! i have herd of a few seeds going around from over-stressing the plant, which is very hard to do with dumpster, but besides that it is a clone only variety. if you got some geuine Dumpster seeds u are extremely lucky.most people outside of ohio never have heard of dumpster. but i have heard dumpster has made its way to california and was called Dumpster kush. i havent been able to confirm this tho. it is exciting to see info on here about the LEGEND OF DUMPSTER! keep it coming

Dumpster-

There is a story behind this strain that is kind of an urban legend. A very nervous and sweating man walks into a bar and sits down and orders a beer which he quaffs down and finishes. The other people at the bar can't help but notice how nervous this guy is so they ask him, "what's the matter?" The nervous guy calms down a little bit and tells the people that he was a pot grower but is now sure that the police are after him and know that he is cultivating cannabis. He goes on to explain that he has just finished disposing of all the equipment and plant material that might get him in trouble. The guys at the bar ask him, "where did you dispose of all that equipment?" and the guy directs them to a certain dumpster at a certain location in the city. The guys in the bar then find that dumpster which is full of lights, fans and hydroponic equipment. They also found old Cannabis stalks and leaves as well as lots and lots of seeds. These seeds were rescued from the Dumpster and so began the legend of the strain we call "Dumpster."

I have observed this strain under the tender loving care of a master grower who told me the above story. I did not read it on any website and this master grower was confident that the strain was indeed "Dumpster" from Ohio. The strain is mostly Indica and produces stout plants with very dense nuggets. The lower buds form denser "golfball" nuggets instead of wispy and airy "popcorn" nuggets. The plants form a main dominant cola which is quite dense and has remarkable bag appeal. When the environment was too humid and mold spores were in the air, this strain has the potential to become infected with mold. The mold i observed was pure white and grew from the insides of the larger buds. Therefore you didn't know a bud had mold on it until you weighed it and it was unusually heavy. Upon inspection of the interior of the bud I found the whitish mold which clung to the very core of the buds.

The color of the plant was a lime-green color somewhere inbetween dark green and light green. The quality of the stone was powerful and narcotic yet euphoric, and the duration of the stone seemed to last all day and night. The odor and flavor was a combination of fruity and skunky while the vaporized crystals would tickle your nose and induce sneezing if you weren't used to it. For these reasons combined with the Dumpster's immense bag appeal, the bud became legendary and people became depressed when it was out of stock.

I recall that clones of Dumpster rooted very slowly when compared with other strains and this master grower took many clones and selected only the most vigorous ones. The less vigorous clones and the runts just grew too slowly for this master grower's liking and were tossed. The slow cloning and the succeptibility to mold were two of this strain's weaker points. But the potency and flavor were top-notch and have become the stuff of legend 'round these parts.

do a google search for dumpster...

wow. i'm from the lorain area of ohio and i currently have 12 blueberry dumpster ladies in right now. haven't switched to flowering yet but so far i'm pretty amazed with the results. although the strain is a cross between nl#5 x g13 x blueberry to give it the yield, the stone, and the flavor. first saw it with sweeney and katz from hookah but hopin to make it more of a comeback strain so those who don't understand will. will post some pics tomorrow.

i got seeds from my friend who spent two years back crossing to get the blueberry in the strain. i'm almost done flowering and it brings a tear to my eye everytime i walk in the room. so beautiful. overpowering. these ladies had a hard life, i started them in an attic in may. in june we had a heat wave and i hadn't transplanted yet so they got heatstress and rootbound. i ended up moving locations and they were in an upstairs room(we'll still call it an attic) and heat was still a problem. i transplanted to 5 gallon pots and they began to flourish. but the heat was overwhelming and they just stopped after two months. my buddy who gave me the seeds said they were a very short stout strain with main colas over clusters. so growth was stunted and they had heat stress. mid july the persons house i had them at finally agreed to let me convert the basement so finally they got a break. i had to leave town for six weeks in august and when i got backthey were in dire straits. idiot let them get thrips, temperature was in the 60's almost all leaves were dying, and they had wind burn from the inch close fans. so i finally got them to a spot that i can keep constant watch over them, and began the healing process. i flushed immediately, and gave them an oil and dishsoap spray that killed the thrips. then i trimmed off the dead and dying leaves which no bullshit made them look like the charlie brown christmas tree. waited about 4 days for the soil to get dry and gave them a strong brew of worm castings, blood meal, and bone meal. in two days all nodes had new growth. temps have been stable, no pests, and regular feedings. when i felt that they were ready and better flower they fucking blew up like a rocket. the point to this whole story is that as you can see, these ladies were forced through a hard life, and all twelve turned out female. not one male, and no hermies. this is a vigorous strain, and it was fun proving my friend wrong letting the ladies get four feet tall when he said they max at two and a half. each plant has three tops and several clusters. but as far as getting seeds from them good luck. mine were fucked in the ass and they still turned out female just to spite me. if any one is interested pm me for [pics from start to finish. peace

I'm currrently working with dumpster and it is a cross between northern lights and g13. It is a POTENT strand but yields are light compared to other strands. If you can find a clone I would highly reccomend grabbing it up. You cannot purchase seeds and the rarity of the strand is so well rare I wouldn't trust what somone says is dumpster seeds. check out my other posts for pictures

The yields aren't that light ... it is a medium yield crop. I'm from ohio and have been around dumpster for a few years. you will only find clones of it. Dumpster despite what you read is a VIGOROUS grower, and roots quickly when cloning. Oh did I mention it's VIGOROUS growth?! I can have a tiny rooted clone of this, transplant it and have it into a giant ass bush ready to take plenty of clones off of and ready to bud in a month.

The dumpster is a very hardy plant. It is both disease and pest resistant. Even the dreaded spider mite can be easily controlled on the dumpster.

It is a quick flowering plant, 7-8 weeks. Producing medium sized, thc-bombed colas. Its smell and taste are one of the most unique IMO. When you smell the dumpster, it is like the sweetest, candyist? , blue cotton candy smell with an undertone of skunk. The taste of the finished product leaves your mouth watering and brain going insane trying to put a description on what just hit your taste buds.

And sorry, but No you can't have it, she belongs in ohio. :fire:
