Ak48

OK nice, my brothers and sisters. I just thought I would share this information with y'all. I harvested my AK48 plant a week ago and I just put most of it in mason jars to cure properly. Although, I am curious like the rest of you, and I put aside some popcorn buds for consumption. Here is the preliminary report on AK48: It has a very cerebral high, though very stoned. I medicated before work and I flew through the day. The smell is kind of a sweet shalack, a very pleasing aroma( sweet probably because I gave it molasses a week before harvest). The color is a light green with tiny red hairs. All in all I would rate this strain very high( excuse the pun) overall. Under the right conditions, it is suppose to finish in 7 weeks, although my conditions took it to 10 weeks. Well worth the wait. Stay medicated my bros and sos.

I grew this AK-48 with a white rhino as a neighbor.It came out a killer. Real nice weed,great smell too. So,I grabbed 20 more reg. seeds. Trying for diff. phenotypes, so I get them ALL to pop except one didn't germinate. OK now 19, I started to top-off and send into the flo- rm. As they grew I got mites AND sprayed to help them. Well, I fucked-up and the water was too cold.The under leaves & new shoots under the canopy became curled & twisted then just died off.Result: scrawny plants,no real yeild either. I got another 20 planted to seed 2 days ago and they're already swelling to pop. Its not a total loss because I learned HOW to prevent spider mites with a wkly spray. I use,insect soap by Ortho. seems mild and is inexpensive IF you buy it in a pure bottle to be diluted with water.
Wind-up is that I luv those AK-48's and I like to learn from a mistake. Go Gro-

Damn thats too many bad things in a row. I too did some 55 degrees water once and they got all wierd wavy

I harvested my AK 48 grow in March and I've been stoned ever since. I LOVE this weed. I plan on starting more very soon. I'm curious, how many plants, and what was your yield?

havnt grown this..but afriend did and the smoke smashed me....hard hitter

I love this strain! Already harvested about 15 plants since I got it. Takes about 9 weeks in my set up (3 gal pots with miracle grow moisture control soil, MG veg ferts, botanicare pro bloom ferts, 1000 watt hps). Very pleasing aroma and taste. Fruity and sweet. I will be keeping this strain around forever I think.

I had 1 AK48 plant about 3 ft tall that produced just over an oz. I am learning with every grow, so I hope the next harvest will be larger. I am currently trying Black Jack and seeds a friend gifted to me, RI Red. Has anyone tried growing Black Jack?

This weed is a hidden treaure. The price just DOES NOT hint at what you are about to grow/smoke. I've done 4 runs of AK48 and I plan on doing more.

Tip,....she's a real calmag whore after the stretch, stay on it. Make sure your ph is right on so uptake isn't an issue.

Terpene characteristics in aroma: fruitty with touches of spice but that is not reflected in the later flavor

effect onset: immediate, no creep
Taste intensity: 9 (This is where she really shines)
Terpene characteristics in flavor: skunk, earthy, musk. 1 descriptive word: smooth

Usability: All day, no couchlock at all.

Not so much "heavy", just make sure its in there and moreso, that the ph is dialed in for uptake. Then let her tell you as she needs it.

What about unsulfered molasses, its loaded with cal/mag. If so, do you know how much to mix/gal of H2O? Thanks for all this info, any help is greatly appreciated.

Tablespoon not teaspoon..To each there own, but a teaspoon is very little.

I agree I remember reading a tblesp/gal. I was just making sure what you guys are doing. What do you think about molasses LBH, since you were the one who started this thread.

I used molasses in soil and then when I switched to hydro I was using the humboldt honey ES, same thing, it's molasses but with fish emulsion, kelp, yadda yadda. Nice stuff but I have since become a firm believer in "less is more". It just suits my growing style as I'm not so pin point perfect with organizing the details of feeds complicated with supplements and such (shrugs, hey, I'm honest,lol). I believe in molasses or similar products, just don't use them.
