"Air Purifying" CFL

Yea, I know, at first It sounds kinda fake, but apparently they are legit.
Air Purifiers
So what do yall think? They are a little more expensive, and only come in a range of 14 - 27 Watts, could these help by (obviously) making the air cleaner?
Anyone have any experience with these?

I guess these could also be used to help neutralize the smell.
Any input would be great.

now way those guys could handle the smell.....they cant possible scrub that much air and they are too low wattage to really be of use growin (except for maybe the last one i think ill buy a couple just so im not hating for no reason but they are PRICEY!!)

Yea man, Im gonna wait too, but they are pricey, and I dont think they could handle the smell. I guess if you had like 10 around 1 plant it would provide the right amount of light and neutralize the smell, but these things arent cheap.
If anyone wants to buy a few and do a review, who knows maybe they are onto something! O.O (or maybe someone was a little stoned when they had this idea )

I got one of those at Fred Meyer about a month ago to cover the smoke odor in my bedroom. Honestly, I have noticed no difference. From what I can tell, Its certainly not as effective as simply cracking open a window. I don't really know what to think though. Could have something to do with the size of my room. I would be curious about the bulb's effectiveness in a small grow space though..

Yea man, I think if you had a couple in a single plant grow box, it might work, or atleast reduce the smell.
If I could grow, I'd buy some and do a bit of an experiment, but right now Im living with my parents so Im not gonna grow.
It would be awesome if someone would volunteer to go buy some and try them out. Maybe do two seperate grows, 1 with normal CFLs and 1 with these Air Purifying CFLs.
Just thought these would be cool if they could neutralize the odor, making it easier to conceal your growing.
