Air purifiers????

Has anyone used a Air Purifier for there grow? Brought one the other day because they say it cleans the air and filters odours?

Anyone ???

I got XJ2000 ozone gen and is awesome. You can really smell 'burned air'

I've got Amcor Air Processor 2000, I run it in the room where the grow-closet is situated to mop up any smells that might leak from the closet. Closet has carbon filter setup so I'm not sure how much of the smell is getting out but I can say I'm pretty sure that this air purifier on it's own wouldn't get rid of the smells, no way. Also I'm told they are not to be put in actual growrooms.

i have 2 living air purifiers/ozone generators and love them. only way to control odor.

Ya, ozone generators work good to get rid of odors. Just don't put them in the grow room. This will cause ozone damage to the plants (yellow, spotty leaves). Put the ozone generator outside the room and only turn it on when you notice odor. The ozone will remain in the air "seeking and destroying" odor for some time after the generator is shut down. Cheers.

i would research ozone and its dangers to you before incorporating one into my life if i were you. Carbon filters eliminate odors and are very simple to set up, just a carbon filter and a fan, and maybe some ducting...

I use an ozone gen and it works great. They do say too much is unhealthy for people, and it can cause damage to plants.
What i did to avoid that was to mount it inside my exhaust ducting going out of room.

Just get a carbon filter

And just to make things a bit clearer - Air purifier does not necessarily mean ozone generator. And while ozone generator is a good way for odour control it's certainly not good to continously inhale ozone. On the other hand air purifier with a built in ionizer will help remove dust particles from the air but won't do much in terms of smell removal. As said - carbon filter is very good and safe alternative

True, in a non vented area, but you could say this for a lot of things without fresh air continuously entering the room ...

personally i would just use a carbon filter, but thats just my personal prefference...ozone, not good to breathe into your lungs...hope this helped a lil bit

I got an air purifier with filter, carbon and plates for the home. It has an on/off ozone to clean air for company.
