Air Pots

Most growers are hip to these now.
If not, they are sleeping on an excellent product.
I no longer used ANY of my Smart Pots after growing side-by-side in an Superoots Air Pot.
My 2gal AP out-performed my 3gal SP !!

interested :D
cost?
edit:
1 Gallon $4.86
2 Gallons $6.12
3 Gallons $7.42
5 Gallons $11.70
not so interested anymore :P
why are they twice as expensive as smart pots?

These are pretty legit. Have not seen them before now though I have heard of root pruning. Transplanting tonight or I would probably get these instead so I could have smaller pots, though I have autos so becoming root bound is not as much of a worry.

I bought a case/box of 10 from a hydro store in Cali, through amazon.
I got the 7.5L / 2gal and the real small starter pots for seedlings and clones.
I believe they are 0.5gal.
I loved them too.
Started the seedlings in the 0.5gal, then unwrap and transplant directly into the 2gal with some medium on the bottom to keep the tops flush and fill in around the sides.
No stress, no shock !
I have some old pics I have to find.

could you make holes around a 5gal bucket...like all around..small holes...would it benefit the plant?

I suppose.
I suggest drilling from the inside out, bcuz the Air Pots holes protrude outward from the pot and the roots grow into the convex holes and then prune themselves and grow back into the pot most of the time.
Some roots stop when they hit the air and just get hella thick and fuzzy !!

Started in 0.5gal Air Pots then unwrapped and transplanted into 2gal Air Pots.

so what you're telling me is that these airpots are now the best pots available, when it comes to soil.

I can only tell that in my side by side grow with my 2gal AND 3gal Smart Pots, they did not even come close to the root development I got from the Air Pots.
Inside the soil and outside the perimeter.
It's cool to hear all the air bubbles crackling and poppin through the holes in the pot as you pour you water/nutes.
The run-off comes the the walls and out the bottom.
But you have to pour slower than you would a "normal" pot all bcuz of the holes all around the Air Pot.
Pour too fast and the solution won't make it all the way to the bottom, but instead drain from the 1st few upper rows of holes.
