aiming for at least 3oz per plant with 400w hps + mh

im about to put a 400w hps/mh light in a 4x2x5 tent...i'm lookin to get @ least 3oz per plant (got 4 from a t5 grow) but i've read you should keep your plants around 2ft and i wanna have them @ 3ft-4ft...should i just go with a sixer even though my tent is ideal for the 4 or should i get cfl's or t5's for side? Good looks in advance

Ok after re-reading your post i would say just go with a 400w in there with some decent sized pots like 5 Gal and you should easily hit 30z per plant

just lst them or look up mainlining and try that out on them..

despite what tons of people will tell you, more light isn't always better, especially if it brings with it more heat that you can't get rid of imo..

you should be able to grow plenty of dank with the 4 hundy ime..

I did a T5HO grow in that same size tent.
6 plants got out of hand real fast. 4 plants would be better as long as their size is kept in check.
Heat and humidity were the two biggest issues, other than over-crowding. So make sure you have all of your intakes/outakes in order.
