First off I would like to say THANKS!!! This is the guide that I have been looking for, as a new MMC holder I plan on growing my own to cut my costs and for our small condo this is the most elegant solution that I have seen to date, I'm already working up the parts list so that I can figure the costs.

The only difference that I am doing is a 2 level system. I'm thinking of using a wardrobe and dividing it into 2 layers so that I can have 2 aero gardens on top and an area below for cloning. One of the advantages to these cabinets is being able to lock them up, esp when you have kids around.

Anyway thanks much for the excellent guide and pics, as soon as I get mine going I will post up here my experiences. Till then stay stoned my friend!!!

Welcome to RIU Seaghost, no thanks necessary for it is my pleasure to do the sharing. You will find many fine people here and help is always just a post away.
Let me share a couple observations about my set up.

Unless you already have an AG in hand you might consider a very simple and much better system, DWC. The AG is great it works, sort of. The lights are weak, the reservoir is WAY TOO SMALL. You will have to modify the system from the very start and since you have to do the mods, then DWC is the same thing just better and much more cost efficient. Let me offer some research for you.

First link covers the basic mods. Great stuff, great guy. Fox really knows indoor growing well and very helpful.

This one is a great over all tutorial that I refer back to when in doubt.

If I had read Roseman's thread first I would not have bought the AG. My next grow is with a simple small 3 gallon DWC res.

Much less up keep, huge difference. So welcome aboard. gonna chop soon...

Wow thanks for the links :bigjoint:, I went thru them and I see your point. After checking some other systems I'm going with 2 of the DWC in a 72" wardrobe. It has a shelf in it so I will mount that halfway up and then I can have 2 systems going at once. Using some fans ventilation shouldn't be an issue either and since I keep the house cool heat shouldn't be either. All I have to figure out is how many CFL's and how many watts total it will pull when finished, if too much then will just do a single tray system, I know that would be around 10 amps max pull or less.

Oh well, more to think about, lots of free time at work for that

You might also consider small hps lights. I got a 70w hps at home depot then just add some extra cfl's with it. Just a thought.
Pay attention to the kelvin ratings for veg you need something like 6500k which is more blue and 2700k for flower it's more red.
You want about 50w's per sq ft on average the more the better.
Don't underestimate heat issues most the cab growers on this and other sites have had a battle with it at one time or another.
Have you thought about soil it's so easy compared to dwc and with air pots or smart pots you get similar growth rates.

Sorry Nat I'm high and rambling again just trying to help though.
