After the muffin..

Okay so just like my last batch which actually turned out great, it seems to be keeping a hard waxy texture after putti MG in vac at 5-10hg and 130 degrees following the muffin. I have seen most get a purging oil within an hour or not too much longer but it is going on 16 hours and it has that dried texture. I am trying to melt it down to purge following the muffin and get to my full vac and 120 temp for honeycomb. So I ask, what do most of you do after the muffin? And what the hell am I doing wrong here haha?

Updated pic. I melted it down, somewhat but not to a purging oil because Temps were getting too high. I got this texture and put my griddle temp at 170 and vsc at -7hg. Seeing if it'll get to the purging oil stage so I can start the waxing after that. Man I need a better method and for some reason I just cannot correct what I am doing wrong following the muffin tryin to melt it down. I need a savior. Again.

170 is a bit high. but i dont know where that temp is coming from. you need to focus on temp in chamber in which your oil sits on. takes practice to dial in with everyone having a different system..

off the start. you need to treat your chamber like an oven, you must pre heat oven before cooking,

get your temps steady . i would shoot for around 120-130 if you think lower temps arnt doing anything.
dont go above 130 though, once you have a set steady temp, place oil glob in it. then let that warm up in chamber for 15+ minutes, no vac... after its warmed up, then pull a full vac. for how ever long. minutes, hours. days

try that out.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. The 170 temp came from the temp of my griddle which gave off 100 degrees for a oil temp. The thing that bothers me is that when I was doing the "muffin" I went to melt it down and it turned into a waxy puddle (PICTURE ONE IN FIRST POST). Is that what I wanted? Or am I correct in thinking it needs to come to a oil following the muffin stage to be able to purge? I just don't wanna honeycomb it if it did not purge enough. It is now somewhat melted down but still kind of buttery. Did not have much reaction at all at full vac and my instincts are telling me to go ahead with the combing.

Imo don't comb it.. when the solvent is gone(sapy) let it butter/wax up(dehydrate?)in a jar or somthin, that's how I like my hash anyway
